Superior Flavor, Very Convenient, & No More Wasted Food!
I've only known about this dried cabbage for about a month & I've already ordered 2 jars. After trying this and Harmony House Foods Soup Mix, Dried Vegetable, 12 Ounce Quart Size Jar, I've since tried Harmony House's dried onions, leeks, diced potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, spinach, and celery. The quality has been EXCELLENT on all counts and I have not been disappointed with anything.Fresh cabbage in my area (Texas) is completely tasteless, bland, and tough, regardless of the store or time of year. I found I was buying fresh cabbage just to eventually throw it (and my finished dish) away, so I finally quit buying it at all. This cabbage, on the other hand, has a nice, fresh, slightly sweet flavor; it's definitely worth its premium price, in my book. Here's a quick list for you (LET ME COUNT THE WAYS):1. TIMESAVER: I cook a LOT (hubby's food allergies preclude most restaurant food, anywhere, anytime). These dried veggies help me expand my cooking options while eliminating a LOT of work for me. Less time cooking means more time READING!2. VARIETY: since we're a small household, this keeps us from having to buy more fresh veggies than we can possibly eat. Now I can have VARIETY without wasting any food. Use as little or as much as you like. You can easily make soup for two without leftovers, so you don't have to have the same meal for 3 days. Love that!!!3. ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY NO ADDITIVES: It has absolutely NO ADDITIVES OR PRESERVATIVES AND NO MSG. Allergy sufferers, rejoice! My husband has multiple chemical sensitivities & it's been hard to find truly "fresh" dried foods. If there's hidden MSG, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, etc. etc. HIS body will find it. No reaction to ANY of these veggies.4. FRESH TASTE/PERFECT NATURAL TEXTURE: Re-hydrated, the natural flavors have been completely retained; it does not taste "washed out" at all. Texture is JUST LIKE the fresh vegetable (this is true for everything I've tried thus far--celery, peppers, cabbage, mushrooms, etc.).5. PACKAGING: Packaged in a rigid, see-through container that makes it easy to store. A quick glance in the pantry lets me find what I need FAST.Harmony House's dried veggies are quickly becoming a kitchen staple for me; most enthusiastically recommended!Have a question? Leave a comment & I'll be happy to help you if I can.

Small pieces
Great product and very convenient for when I run out of fresh and have to cook right away. I find that the small pieces are better in a soup or stew than in a roast or some such meat. The pieces are very small and you need to flavor them as you would, anything out of a can or fresh. Was surprised that they tasted as well as they did. This is my first time using dehydrated foods and I find they just what I need in a pinch.

Love Love Love it!!
Don’t question its validity of being genuine cabbage, it is! I use it to enhance my ramen noodles, canned soups, stews, rice dishes etc. and it’s delicious 😋 if I find a good product I stick with it, so I’ll reorder and have looked into their other products. I was scared it would be a smaller bottle but it wasn’t, I’ve slyest used it about 6 times, I liked it tasted like I added fresh cabbage.

Very salty.
Really salty. Very small pieces. Going to try rinsing it next time to eliminate some of the salt .

Dehydrated works great now or later
Perfect for using in every day cooking or putting away for food storage for future hard times. Just make sure you get the feel of how they work before you want to use them down the road. I make sure I use my veggies now to see what I like and what to order more of in the future to put away in my pantry of food storage items. Just grab what veggies you want as you plan dinner and start to prep and place amount needed in a cup or bowl of hot water. Then in about 5 or 10 minutes you can add to your meals. I loved using these. No more worrying about veggies going bad in the crisper. Works for me and I get compliments from my family.
