Very robust dog trailer
This is our third dog trailer after our young Cocker Spaniel grew too big for the smaller trailer we had used for our last Cocker. The trailer is very spacious for him and could easily cope with much bigger dogs. Lots of people seem to ask if a trailer will fit their dog. We measured our dog by holding a steel/diy measuring tape alongside him when he was sitting up straight and then by lying the same tape next to him when he was lying down. As we go on long journeys by bike (rides of up to 50 miles) he needs space to stretch out.The trailer is well made in heavy duty fabric. The floor is lined with a solid layer and made of a waterproof material. We will add a cushioned pad and a blanket for our pup. The front door opening has a roll down PVC cover for wet and windy days. Both mesh doors have velcro so that you can secure them in the open position....handy for getting the dog in and out without catching claws or the chance to chew the doors! There is a D ring on a tape to secure a harness if you wish.It is easy to put the trailer together and it only takes a few moments once you have done it once. The cabin of the trailer is formed by a metal arm that is under tension between the two side panels. In our last trailer this arm was held in place by two screws and had to be completely removed each time you folded the trailer down. There was always the possibility that you might lose the arm or one of the screws. This has been improved and the arm is now attached by bolts and clips. It only needs to be unfastened on one side and folded down to fold the trailer. This is a lot quicker than the old screw in design. It is a little fiddly the first time as you have to fit the receiving clip for the side that unfastens. The arm is a tight fit so you do need to pull quite hard to fit it into place. The trailer has larger, thinner wheels than our last one and we are hoping that will make it a smooth tow. When you fit the wheels check the direction of travel marks on the tyres to make sure that you fit them on the correct sides of the trailer. One of our tyres had been fitted the wrong way round...effectively giving us two left wheels....easily changed. We have marked the wheels L and R for future reference as that is a lot easier than trying to find the marks on the tyres once they are dirty from use.The trailer attaches to the bike by means of a coupling device that goes on the spindle of the rear wheel of your bike. It can be left in place so there is no need to remove your back wheel each time. This is a different design to the coupling device for our previous trailer so we needed to change the one on our bike for the new one supplied. The arm of the trailer has a spring loaded joint that makes for a smooth tow. The arm and wheels are all secured by bolts with clips. In our previous trailer these were tied on so they could not be lost when the trailer was being folded down. These weren’t supplied on this trailer so we will add them.Overall a really well made bit of kit and we hope to get many miles out of it!

Great piece of kit
Really good piece of kit. Bigger than I thought it would be, but that suits me for my camping gear as well as wee Jack Russell.

Value for money
It was packaged well and arrived on time (early actually). Its easy to assemble and pretty good quality, it's also waterproof. I got this so I could take my cat places with me and it fits him well, you could fit a small/medium sized dog in and it's durable, I would recommend

Great bike trailer for dogs
Easily assembled, quick unhitch from bike. This is my second purchase. First one worn out with fair wear and tear.Very easy to fold up and remove wheels. Wheels then fit inside the unit. So easy and quick to store in the car.Only real criticism taking the price into consideration is the weight of the unit. It is very heavy and you pull that weight on the bike.

Great trailer for dogs and cargo.
UPDATE: Whilst out cycling round a roundabout, an idiot driver t-boned me, causing the tow bar to shear and the trailer to go sliding off on its side with our puppy in it. I'm really pleased to say that the trailer did a wonderful job of protecting her; the main frame stayed intact, the sides/doors didn't tear and she just looked confused. Needless to say I will be buying a new one after I've got a new bike!ORIGINAL REVIEW:There are a lot of hills where we live, and attaching this to the back of my electric bike has enabled me to take our medium sized dog to many places that would otherwise have been unaccessible to us.It feels secure on the back of the bike and rides smoothly. The pivot enables you to turn around in tight spaces (when turning to the left) and if the bike falls over, the trailer doesn't move.I have added a light piece of board inside to reinforce the floor and a dog bed to make it more comfy for her. She got used to travelling in it really quickly, and is happier in the trailer than she is walking by the side of busy roads. It has also been handy for other errands and bringing back shopping!Brilliant value for money!
