It was surprisingly well designed and a fun thing to put together.
The decals were good, and it wasn't cheap feeling or anything.

Very giftable, I got two as gifts!
Overall, great fun little build, especially for the price -- the official Lego SR-71 kit is discontinued and was already horrendously expensive. (Though to be fair it was much larger.) The main downsides are first that it can be a bit of a pain to file off the bits of plastic that hang onto the pieces that you snap off a frame, like with a typical glue-together plastic model. Secondly, I was hoping it would take my wife a bit longer to do; in other words it was even easier to assemble than I hoped, thinking it would give her more of a challenge. But I certainly can't hold the latter point against it. Had a second one drop-shipped to a friend who's a big SR-71 fan; got a thank-you, but no news yet on putting it together.

General Jim has got it going on
This is a review for General Jim's Building Blocks Bricks Set- US Air Force SR-71 Blackbird Military Model for Plane Enthusiats,Teens and Adults.I love the blackbird and I love building blocks. This has me covered on two fronts. This kit is well made. The blocks are made from good quality plastics, and they feel sturdy. Also, the connections are very secure. Instructions were not the best but are manageable. Just take your time and pay close attention to the blocks.This is a great kit overall and an even greater way to make lasting memories with the little ones. To me that was the biggest enjoyment of this kit.
