Sleek and secure
We have put this look on our back gate and it works greatMay need to watch a YouTube video to help with the installation process but it's not to difficult to understand. Using the guide was definitely a big help to understand where the wholes needed to go. Very secure and sturdy and loved the sence of security this product gives us. Definitely recommend

Perfect for the job. Quality item.
I bought this as an additional security measure for my side gate but also because I was fed up having to reach over the top of the gate to remove the bolt!Positive:- Solid, well-made, precision engineering- Spare screw for joining inside and outside plates provided because they know someone is going to cut one of them to the wrong length and regret it!- Two additional 'code pins' provided so that you can extend the combination from the preset 5 digits to seven.- Pincer tool provided for removal and replacement of 'code pins'.- Clear instructions (photocopy and use the templates!).Negative:- Combination cannot use a digit twice, e.g., you could not use 2264 because the 2 can only be used once. Limits choice but the simple answer is to increase the number of digits in your combination.- None others that I can think of. Others have talked about this item being not suitable for external doors. I suspect they may have bought an internal one by mistake.Neutral:- Read the instructions very carefully, especially if you have to change the preset features. For example, the lock supplied came preset for a right-hinged opening. I had to alter the settings internally (instructions were clear) to suit my left-hinged door.- Be very careful when changing the combination lock code. The internal 'code pins' need to be handled carefully and placed very precisely. Relatively easy if you read the instructions.

Great works well. Very pleased.
I've fitted one of these and just ordered another. When fitted the lock is excellent. Easy operation and feels very solid secure. The only reason for not 5 star is the instruction are not always 100 per cent clear, but didn't cause any problems during fitting and operation. Considering a third for another door. The fitting went fine and I'm very pleased with how snug the lock is and how solid the operation is.I note on the new lock I have just ordered, a sticker highlights part of the process for changing the code (you have to press the C button whilst changing the "keys") I understand it is easy to damage the lock if you do not follow this step. If you can't pull the "keys" out with the supplied tweezers, it might be a faulty unit (I had one, but swiftly replaced).

Read for ingenious alternate installation (easier)
Ok I should of taken pics, but imagine modern home with the white thin doors with Batton inside, and decorative recessed panelling. All modern homes have them. Anyway, remove just one handle, the side you want the lock buttons. Your original will have a bar between the two handles. The lock has a thinner flat bar between the two. Options are, grind down the end so it is flat / same as supplied bar, or pack out square hole in existing lock to accept the new flat bar actuator. I fitted the bar diagonally into square lock hole, slid two triangle shaped odds and sods I had, added bicarb and a drop of superglue. The bicarb turns to concrete. Once positive the thin supplied actuator is tightly held where the square bar once was, fit the lock (check code works first). I used 3M double sided, twisted the actuator rod 45 degrees so the handle sat true, then pushed it squarely onto the door. Feels welded on, works perfect, and the other side has original normal handle, so you can't get locked in (and if door lock failed in future, you can peel off as STUCK) BUT ONLY YOU KNOW ITS STUCK. To anyone else it feels and looks bolted tight. Great lock. Wish I took install pics!!

Poor quality
Cheap quality especially the screws and fixings. 2 snapped upon tightening one of which was unremoveable as head came of once screwed in. Instructions are wrong and largely unnecessary. There's no need to drill 4 holes and slot it as stated. The template is bigger than the lock, so that's not much use as holes slightly out. Spend the extra and get quality in my opinion

Too complex to change code.
Nice but too complex to change the enter code.
