The crystals are big, but easily broken up and very pure. I will definitely get these again,

I use this for making pickles. It's very good.

I like that the 16 ounces came separated in two 8 ounce bags because I was able to give my sister one bag. The rocks were big, but I actually ended up smashing them because I needed tiny pieces. I put a tiny piece in warm water and use it like a mouthwash after I brush my teeth, but I only use it when I have a sore throat or irritated gums (it also works for oral sores), and it always helps. Your mouth will feel dry at first, but the feeling goes away after drinking water.

This is reasonable price. only issue is delivery time is too long and it changes.

I don't know how this item is used by others, but as a child my mother always had an alum rock in the medicine cabinet. I often get canker sores on my tongue and she would touch the sore with the rock and immediately I would feel relief; and in a short time the sore would be gone. For many years as an adult I searched for this product and finally the internet came to the rescue. I keep a rock in my suitcase for travel, one in the kitchen and one in the medicine cabinet.

Following my mother and grandmother's recipe for Liberty pickles, I used rock alum. This recipe calls for alum the size of a walnut....lol, true. I used White Alum Crystal Rock and it worked beautifully. The pickles are crisp and crunchy. Good luck with your project.
