All fresh leaves, good price
LOVE these leaves, and will definitely purchase again for the great price! We love tom yum gai around here (Thai hot and sour chicken soup) and you have to have the Kaffir lime leaves. All the leaves in the bag were a perfect, vibrant green--no signs of wilting or decay. It's about enough for a stuffed sandwich size ziploc bag. I put them in the fridge with a paper towel in the bag for a few days to help dry them out, then put them in the freezer. They work great in our soup. We do use 6-8 leaves at a time, but even still we should get a dozen uses out of the bag, so that's worth it to me.* 1 star (I hate it!): I feel it's a waste of money. Never plan use it again. Would never recommend. Item will either be thrown away or returned.** 2 star (I don’t like it): I don't like it and wouldn't use it again, but may still have at least 1 positive thing about it.*** 3 star (It’s ok): Product has both positives and negatives, and I may or may not continue using it. Someone else may like it more and is potentially still worth purchasing.**** 4 star (I like it): Item as described in functionality, purpose, and quality. May have 1 or 2 things I don't care for or would change, but not big issues. Would recommend if asked, but wouldn't say I love it.***** 5 star (I love it!): Practically perfect. Nothing lacking in functionality or quality. Love it and would happily recommend it, purchase it for others, and continue to purchase for myself.

Was not expecting literally fresh, excellent quality, smells and tastes delightful.
These came in a ever so slightly moist bag inside of a standard mailer. I was expecting fresh to mean anything else, as usually these are hard to find fresh, but to my surprise they were literally fresh and extremely fragrant. I made rice with a few instead of bay leaf as I usually do for basmati and it was just absolutely excellent. Super happy I picked these up - I can't compare them to any other fresh providers but I was quite happy with it for the price!

Having used this type of lime leaf for years, these represent the poorest quality that we have seen.
This is not at all what was pictured or represented on the Amazon website. These lime leaves are unusable and do not look at all what fresh lime leaves look like. We have purchased lime leaves in the past and have never purchased them from this company and will never purchase Lime leaves from this company again. These are non-returnable, and as a result, we will not purchase these again. This was a great disappointment and for over $11, this seems like a great waste of money. We are Thai food cooks, and have had training and how to use these ingredients. These are clearly unusable.

Fresh and plentiful
I was very impressed with how many leaves I received and how fresh they were! I'm in rural Tennessee so I was a bit concerned about the condition these would be in after travel, but they were perfect. They were in my crisper drawer a little over two weeks before they began to show signs of degradation, so I decided to experiment to see how well they would freeze. (They sent so many, that I didn't know what to do with all of them).I froze one and that worked well, so I laid them all flat in a vacuum sealer bag, vacuum sealed it and tossed it in the freezer.Since then, I've used these to flavor rice, soups, couscous, etc. I just toss them in direct from the freezer and they work beautifully. I usually crush/bruise them a bit by crumpling them in my hands first, just to release some of the oils. The flavor is inimitable---there's no substitute. You either have this, or you don't. At this price, and considering how well it stands up to freezing, there's no reason not to have this ingredient on hand. A unique and delicious addition to many dishes!

A solid option if you can't buy locally
These lime leaves are a good option if your local grocery stores don't stock them. Yes, you will receive some leaves that are browning; that's the nature of shipping them unrefrigerated across the country. But you still get a lot of good leaves once you pick out the bad. For the price, it's not a bad deal, especially considering that lime leaves can be frozen almost indefinitely. Be sure to open them as soon as they arrive and separate out the brown ones from the fresh ones. Use the ones you need and seal the rest into a ziploc bag, squeeze out the air and freeze them. You'll be good to go.

AMAZINGLY FRESH & FRAGRANT!
Just got my, first time, order of fresh Kaffir lime leaves. Been experimenting with Thai, Tibetan, other SE Asia recipes. Love watching Chef Jet Tila doing these dishes, so tried ordering this and lemon grass stalks. The scent upon opening my padded package - delivered to my US Mail box - knocked me over! Pleasantly!!So fragrant! Now I know why recommended. There's nothing else like it. For most part the leaves are all fresh green, there were a scant few brown ones, which I'll use first? I'd say 90%-95% fresh green leaves?I'll have to freeze most of these, which I understand works well. But first will use some fresh. Would happily order again. Can't wait to use these.

some good some not
UPDATE: Second order, this time in December and half the leaves in the package were rotten so summer heat during delivery is not the issue. The surviving leaves are very good in Thai curries. The problem is dealing with the rotten leaves. The product was a mixed bag. Many of the leaves were brown, slimy and useless and some were green and after a good rinse were very tasty. I estimate it was about a 50-50 split between the brown and green. The green ones took the curry I was cooking to another level. My guess is that the product started going bad in transit. It took several days the in postal system to get here from California and it was very hot most of the way.Bottom line will I buy again. Likely yes. The green leaves made a huge taste difference and the package contained enough for my needs. That said I will look for a seller that offers next day or two day delivery.
