KLUTZ Yarn Art Craft Kit

My item came with a wet, foamy green substance all over it. It was all over the cover and the pages of the instruction book were all stuck together. When i tried to open the book it ripped. Gross!

The Klutz Yarn Art kit is a great choice for beginners to those that are already fans of this craft type. This kit allows one to create three unique wall hangings providing almost all the craft materials needed in the set itself. Items not included but needed are glue, scissor and a tape measure/ruler. The kit comes with the frames, yarn ( both chenille and acrylic), pom-poms, roving, sequins, beads, felt shapes, plastic needle and cotton string.In making these cool art pieces, one will learn weaving basics, how to make fringe, create chevron patterns, making shapes, and how to take all these skills and material and create something unique to you! The book that came in the set is excellent! It's very appealing to the eyes being full color and very easy to follow. The instructions are step by step and there's many tips and hints through out to help one on the way.All the materials are top quality! We've so far done one of the designs are quite pleased with how it came out! It's certainly been a piece we are proud of. We are planning on make the last two and then getting more materials to use our new found skill.This kit is perfect for my ten year old daughter and could be used for a younger child with adult or teen assistance. I feel the age this is best for is certainly 10 and up. The colors and style of the art to make in this kit is certainly in the tween/teen range.I feel the price for the kit isn't bad since you only need to have a few things of your own on hand to embark forward. Very happy with this kit. Recommended!

Klutz is a brand you see in craft stores and also department stores like Nordstrom. My kids have had several Klutz art kits and books. The Klutz Yarn Art kit is fun for kids who enjoy crafting. This is not really a knitting kit.The kids weave designs into a frame. It comes with very detailed instructions.Like all Klutz kits, the instruction booklets have great graphics and colors.It has everything your child needs to make a cute little craft or three.I think it would be better if it included more yarn, and extra, larger needles.However, our girl enjoys crafting, and she liked this kit.

This is an ideal activity for a group of 3 or 4 kids who are inclined to turn away from a screen and do something creative. The crafts aren't too difficult or time-consuming, so you get a fast payoff. It's affordable and is unlikely to make a huge mess.Obviously, this would be suitable for younger kids (too simple for high school or even late mid-school) but also not for tiny kids. I can't see a 4 year old having much luck either. But it's a nice kit that kids of the right age and inclination will enjoy opening and exploring and ultimately, making some fun, colorful projects.I recommend!

Very nice, complete weaving kit. It comes with an attached booklet with super clear instructions. It will keep your kid entertained for hours. Personally, I think the three proposed projects are quite ugly (maybe the pineapple is OK), but whom among us has not received plenty of ugly-cute art projects from our kids and liked it (or pretended to like it) anyway? As long as the kids enjoy it, I'm fine with it.

It's awkward to knit into the frame. I also feel that it doesn't totally look like the frame belongs in the project. But my daughter did have fun with it and she likes displaying them leaning against the back of her bookshelf. If it were the original price, I probably would rate it lower. As cheap as it is now, it's a good busy craft.
