Avocado seed straw, eco friendly, 100% compostable, biodegradable, package with 100 straws.

They last in liquids for a long time; far longer than paper straws. I assume they'd last as long as the PLA straws I used before discovering they actually compost poorly. Assuming these straws compost more easily (which I am unable to verify on my own), they would be the best compostable straws I have tried. The problem is, they stink! Literally, I mean; they smell like a barn. If you remove them from the plastic case and allow them to air out, the smell goes away after a week or so, and even when the smell is present, the straws do not actually taste bad. Just remember, smell is a huge component of taste, and each time I lean for my drink I get a whiff of horse barn. Why can't you people air these out yourselves before selling them to me?! Or submerge them for a while or *something*. These straws would be perfect if they didn't smell so bad.I haven't tried the individually-wrapped ones because the smallest order size is cost-prohibitive. These arrive in a plastic pouch of 100 and the thing reeks. Air them out, first, and you should be fine.

When you initially open the package don't be shocked at the "smokey" smell. I would imagine it's due to the manufacturing process, however, it dissipates pretty quickly and you can't "taste" it. These straws are stiffer than plastic, so there's no need to worry about them breaking down before you finish your beverage. Just knowing it's 100% compostable and biodegradable won me over. I don't ever want to see another video of someone pulling a plastic straw out of the nose of a sea turtle again!

Unlike other reviewers, I have not noticed a smell nor a taste to these straws. I have bought 4 packages (given some to coworkers) and everyone thinks they are a great substitute for plastic straws. They stay firm and will certainly last the life of one cold drink (and will last if you have more drinks in a sitting). I love that they are biodegradable and I will purchase more when this buyer receives more inventory.

These straws are great. They stand up well in hot or cold liquids. I have tried them all and the fact that there are disposable is awesome. I don't believe washing other reusable straws truly gets them clean. These straws are win win for the consumer and the sea turtle.I carry then in my purse and use them everywhere.

These straws are great. Super sturdy and great to use without the guilt. Highly recommend for straw lovers who don’t always want to use metal straws. They’re expensive but worth it!

This is a great straw. It does not soften whilst drinking from it as paper straws do. It is firm but could be just a tad thicker. But Great

Love the product. Very sturdy & doesn’t get mushy even after hours in a drink. But they were shipped wrapped in plastic!
