This is a fast simple game with very good components. This expansion integrates well and adds the most flexible faction. Needing 4 matching movement cards instead of 3 to collect gems adds balance to this offensive/interruption juggernaut. The added game play mode when not used as a faction is fun as well. The dead come back to life!

Great little expansion for a fun game! Wildlands is a great time and a beautiful game on the table. This skeletons can be used as foes or as a crew themselves. I am planning to also use them in my roleplaying games after painting them. They are nicely sculpted figures.

Got this for my son. He likes board, card and video games. For my wife and I, it important to have a short game (2hr) and bypass the timely investment of building D&D characters.

We love the extra players.

Wildlands: The Unquiet Dead gives players an additional faction to choose from and an alternative play style. The Unquiet Dead is a faction consisting of 6 characters (1 more than other factions), and they only have two activation symbols. This gives players more opportunities of activating their characters. The issue is the wild card symbols are divided into other cards, so all three wild flag actions are not simply found on one card. The other drawback given to players playing this faction is that they must play four matching symbols to collect a crystal shard. Each member of the faction comes with three health.The rules variant that comes with this faction is they will act as the corpses of characters that have been eliminated. When a player's character is eliminated, they will be replaced by an Unquiet Dead character. This character can be activated by any player with dead characters. Players will be able to attack by using their dead characters symbols, but they may not collect shards, or score anyone destroyed by the Unquiet Dead character.The Unquiet Dead gives another faction to play which is a welcome for variety, or for people that do not like one of the factions in the base game. They are a well-rounded faction when it comes to health, and being able to nearly always play a card is great for attacking and defending. The variant provided is an okay addition and gives another option for using defeated character symbols. The only real issue that may arise for new players is understanding how wild cards work, now that they are split into different cards. It is a great addition to Wildlands and would recommend it for anyone purchasing, or have purchased, the base game.
