Tartan Check Reversible Brushed Cotton Flannelette Duvet Cover Set - Red - UK King

The media could not be loaded.  Lovely soft check white and red underside to this duvet and it's pillows which is the same as on the matching fitted sheet, (bought separately). The upper side is of a slightly tougher material and, slightly disappointingly, it's much more brown in colour than the hoped for rich burgundy colour but it matches the dog well and she knows it! However, looks and feels nice, well made and deliciously cosy, looks like this will be a firm favourite. Haven't washed it yet but 40 degree wash prob preferable to 60 degree or higher!

I would not recommend this item, the brushed cotton is softer than linen but nowhere near as soft as others I have. The main problem however is the colour leaking. Even though this was washed first, it has dyed everything pink. The white bedsheet is pink, my kids pyjamas, even to the point that when my son had a shower it left pink in the water?? I know it’s not the most expensive item but I may aswell have thrown the money in the dustbin, where the quilt cover will be going.

What I do like:• This double duvet cover is reversible and I like both patterns (the navy blue/green/white tartan and the opposite 2 tone white/navy blue).• The cover secures with poppers and don’t come loose so you don’t start losing duvet; which I’ve found can happen with covers using tie or button closures.• The material is a little stiff initially but after a couple of washes it relaxes into a brushed cotton that feels slightly fluffy and very soft.• Very well made; no loose threads, poppers or stitching.• Includes 2 matching pillow cases.• The photos on the product page are a good representation of the actual colours of the cover.• A very reasonable price for a 100% brushed cotton double duvet set.• Brushed cotton on both sides.What I don’t like:• No negatives to flag at the moment. I’ll let you know if that changes.

Have had this for about a year now and it's still my favourite bedding, soft and warm, perfect for snuggling. One of our cats is obsessed with it. I will say that it gets bobbly over time due to the material, but for me that just adds to the lovely feel.

I've bought a few of these brushed cotton sets from the maker and have been really pleased. But I was really disappointed with this one as it only appears to be brushed cotton on the white side of both the duvet and pillows. The blue tartan side it quite rough and scratchy which is really annoying , makes it feel cheap. I washed and tumble dried to see if it would help but it hasn't so can't even send it back . ☹ . Just want to update you om this product after a month of use ... DO NOT BUY IT 😒.. washed 3 times now .. Still fairly rough on the dark side and now the softer white side , which is now a grey type colour as the blue has run , not my fault, is nos producing lots of lint and fluff . !!! So basically this set is going in the bin . A complete waste of money
