Finally, a dog toy that might hold up to our puppy! We've tried a lot of different items for this dog, he's a powerful chewer, and he doesn't give us a chance to forget it. The Kevlar dog toys don't even last 2 days, nylabones and Kongs don't last a week, he's even managed to chew down Elkhorn and don't even get me started on the brand new mulch he's made of all the sticks in the backyard. So I had my concerns when testing this product, understandably. While he doesn't seem to have any trouble finding new things to chew on himself, when you try to interest him in a new toy he isn't always on board. So far he has always come around and decided to play with it eventually, but with some things he does not have much of an initial interest. Not the case with this toy, he wanted it straight out of the package. It's got a hefty weight but not so much that it can't be moved fairly easily by a larger dog. The clasp feature in the middle is well made, does not feel loose or as if it is going to fall apart if the dog is chewing on it rather than eating a rawhide from it, and the material itself is durable enough that he has only managed to gouge it after hours of chewing rather than shredding it like all of its predecessors. We've been using it a week or so and so far it has held up better than anything else we've purchased, and it even slows him down when it comes to the amount of time it takes him to eat a rawhide chew.

Check the images for the ferocity of the pooch. Much like the saying it is not the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog. This lets the dog get a better grip on the bully stick and in some ways enjoy it more comfortably. Don't know about it without the bully stick as a toy as Georgina does not care about it minus the stick.

So far, this seems to be working extremely well. My golden is a typical "eats and destroys every toy in sight" dog. He also has no self preservation and would choke to death on his own food if I didn't slow feed him. I bought 3 different sized chew sticks of different types to try with this toy and it has worked with all of them. From a thick pork skin roll to the thinnest bully stick out of the package. It seems to hold on to them very firmly even if they are smooth. I can't comment on whether or not the actual toy will hold up to a lot of chewing because my dog hasn't tried gnawing on it a lot yet but based off of how it feels in comparison to other plastic type toys he has, it should withstand quite a bit. I'm very pleased with this product and glad to have the peace of mind that my boy won't swallow the tail end of his treats.

As soon as I received bully stick holder I immediately put a treat in it and gave it to my Malinios. This holder in NY opinion is definitely a great product what I like most about it is it doesn't have a metal threaded rod holding the sticks that your pet can easily break a tooth on especially if your dog is an aggressive chewers like mine. It's really hard to find pet toys that a Malinios cannot destroy in literally seconds and this one is certainly a game changer. I strongly recommend this product especially for aggressive chewers and piece of mind that your dog won't break some teeth on unsafe metal threaded rods like other holders I have tried. This product is well made, sturdy durable and can take beating and my Malinios can't destroy it.. it's a win win if your like me and have gone through literally hundreds of dollars looking for toys and holders that your aggressive chewer can't destroy this is certainly one of them

Got this to hold my dog's antler chew. It does the job well, but the threads should extend further...you can't use a chew the same size as the hole bc the threads are too far up the adjustable end. Not bad but could be better. Does come unscrewed sometimes, but my dog is never unsupervised with it so not a huge deal.

I’ve considered getting one of these before but always worried they might be flimsy. This one is definitely not. It’s solid, well-built, and holds the bully stick very firmly. It’s also easy to tighten and loosen, which makes it practical to use.I’ve been saving the last few inches of bully sticks because I worry my dogs might swallow them. This holder solves that problem—it lets the dog chew the stick down safely to about an inch or two. One of my dogs was hesitant at first (he’s like that with anything new), but he adjusted quickly.This performed better than I expected in terms of securely gripping the stick. It does exactly what I needed, and I’m glad I finally gave it a try. Although I still have to toss the last inch or so, that's a lot less than before.
