Long ship time, but worth the wait!!
Saw a video that suggested this chemical spray that kills bacteria on your face and scurried off the Amazon to buy it to try. Landed on this brand based on reviews. I am a 32yr old woman who uses medical grade skincare, gets regular facials, chemical peels once a year and STILL struggle with breakouts. I workout regularly and am a sweaty girl and suspected the sweat sitting on my pores on the drive home was the issue. I would wipe my face but still, it wasn't enough. I bought this stuff and started spraying it before and after workouts and noticed a difference immediately. I went and bought another bottle to keep in my car so I could use one in place of a toner. Unfortunately the sprayer on my 1st bottle broke on day 3 of use. I just went and bought a cheap spray bottle from the dollar store. Problem solved. This is a game changer and I would recommend it to everyone.

Expired or off product
Item seemed expired or off and did not have typical chlorine smell of hypochlorous acid. Would not recommend.

Gentler alternative to harsh skin refreshing sprays
I ordered this hypochlorous acid spray to use on irritated skin. The barrier on my face was compromised and I wanted something to soothe the skin after performing monthly extractions. On my body, I’d been dealing with folliculitis after hair removal, perimenopausal body odor, and I also wanted to see if it worked on sweaty feet. I became interested in trying this when I realized it’s basically like taking a dip into a pool, which is something that dries out my backne almost instantly. It gets rid of bad smells at the micro level, instead of masking it like a fragrance would. It does smell like chlorine if you open the bottle and take a whiff, but it’s not detectable on the skin. I haven’t noticed any itching or stinging after unless I spray it on broken skin, then it goes away quickly.I really like this, it neutralizes the (really bad) BO in my armpits without resorting to harsher chemicals that have no business being on my skin. It leaves no visible residue when dry and I haven’t noticed any downsides after use. I’m not sure if it’s helping redness from irritation, but so far I really like it and think I’ll use this as a gentler alternative to what I’ve been using for BO, itchy scalp, and skin irritation.I especially like that the formula doesn't include any irritating essential oils, sulfates, mineral oils or silicones -- my skin reacts strongly to these. I've used different face sprays with fragrances and such that irritated my skin and this is an excellent basic alternative.

Did not calm and soothe my skin
I tested this toner against another brand of toner to judge how my skin felt after each application. I started by cleansing my skin with an oil cleanser which left my skin clean but well moisturized. I sprayed half my face with this toner and the other half with the other brand toner. First thing I noticed was the difference in the mist. The other product had a much finer mist and didn't run at all once I sprayed my face. This Minimalist Hypochlorous Acid Spray had larger droplets that tended to run. It also left my skin drier than the other brand. The bottle says it is calming and soothing but the side of my face that was sprayed with this product is noticeably drier and a bit itchy. It definitely did not soothe my skin as it claims. Sorry but this product was not a success for me.

The correct concentration and pH, properly packaged, and with an expiration date.
This bottle of hypochlorous acid has everything you should be looking for. First, hypochlorous acid should be below 0.2% (200 ppm) to be safe on skin and must be below pH 7.0 to ensure you have a solution of hypochlorous acid and not sodium hypochlorite (bleach). This checks both those boxes. You also want it appropriately packaged, with a safety seal (check!) and in a dark or opaque bottle to keep out UV light (check!). Lastly, you want to know the expiration date, since hypochlorous acid will break down and become ineffective over time. This product comes with a batch number, a manufacturing date and an expiration date (check! check! check!).As far as the product in the bottle, I tested the pH and it’s less than 5.0. The odor is as expected, with a scent that will remind you of a chlorinated swimming pool (which uses hypochlorous acid to disinfect the water). I sprayed it on my hand, rubbed it around and it evaporated like water, leaving behind a soft and smooth texture---probably from the small amount of sodium left behind. The odor is slight and faded quickly. I like to use this as a hand sanitizer since it’s not as harsh on my hands as the alcohol-based sanitizers. Overall, I recommend hypochlorous acid for disinfection and highly recommend this particular brand, since they clearly know how to professionally manufacture and package this chemical so that you can use it in total confidence.
