I bought this dryer because I don’t have space for a standing one, and it actually works really well. To boost the heat effect, you can also buy a bonnet that covers the dryer and your head—this really improves the results. Definitely a great option if you’re short on space and want to keep your hair healthy.

I am old enough to have sat under a bonnet hairdryer with enormous rollers for over an hour every time I washed my hair in high school and hated it so much that I finally gave in and went with my natural curls once the 70s made that acceptable. Now I am old enough to have developed arthritis and I can no longer even hold a blow dryer so, when my hairdresser suggested I get one I could sit under, I started by looking for a used salon dryer (except I don't have a place for one). Then I did some research and discovered this incredibly reasonably priced product which is... PERFECT! Oh, okay, nothing is perfect (hence only four stars) and neither is RED because I haven't figured out yet how to lower the height of the hood, but for that... it serves my purposes exactly as desired. Assuming that it doesn't stop working al of a sudden, I imagine it will be drying my hair for the rest of my life. If you are debating the purchase, unsure if it can be worth the ever so low price—IT IS! Buy it now and find a good book to read while your hair dries.

I have natural thick biracial hair. I really like this dryer for the price. My hair drys using it quickly. It's a little interesting to find a place to dry my hair. You need a chair you can adjust and a good place to put the dryer. I set the dryer on my kitchen island which is higher than most tables. It's not the most comfortable thing to sit under just because the height is not adjustable so you have to rely on your chair for that- but it's not unbearable for drying either. I'm satisfied with it and wouldn't opt to return or buy one of the more high end dryers. I like that the air can adjust from being cold to hot. Storage is really cool to, the dryer folds down and you can carry it kind of like you would a bucket. I would recommend this product and 10/10 would buy it again. I definitely believe it helps reduce frizz to.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this after reading the other reviews, but I'm glad I did. I am a curly girl with short hair that's pretty tight curls (3c with some 4a.) I wanted a hood dryer I could sit under for a few minutes just to dry my hair before running out the door (no curlers, just my bare head.) I looked at a lot of them on Amazon before choosing this one. I'm glad I chose it.The pro's:-This one has a low, cool setting. That's hard to find on these hooded dryers. I want to avoid any heat on my curls.-This one is fairly lightweight and easy to move. I didn't want a roll-around on a stand dryer that takes up space.-It does a nice, gentle job on the lowest setting without ruining the pattern of my curl.The possible con's for you to consider:-It's a bit loud. I'm used to that from hood dryers of long ago. It might bother you.-It doesn't blow you out of the water- it's gentle. I don't know if it would be powerful enough to dry longer hair set on rollers in a short time. I doubt it.-It's a bit tricky to set up, but there are two excellent videos on Youtube with a lady showing how to unpack it and then adjust it.Overall, I am glad I made this choice. It meets my needs perfectly for a quick dry under a hood for naturally curly hair at a good price.

So I have had this dryer for a few years now. Over all it works well. It gets very hot and drys my hair in a reasonable amount of time. My major issue with it it the 4 vents (holes?) at the back. So much of the air comes out of it and not enough from the smaller holes in the hood surroding your hair. I used to rotate so esch part of my head could be hit by the really hot part but now i just cover the with tape and the air flows through the hooded part much better. Overall a good and convient purchase but will likely be looking to upgrade soon.
