Grade A Surface
I've switched between many gaming surfaces over the years. It had been a long time since I used a "cloth" pad and even longer since I used a QPad. Having used an original I can happily say they have come along leaps and bounds (not that it was ever bad!) with this great, smooth thin, light weight, yet solid mouse pad. Great buy for the price!

£45 for this Qpad is a waste of money, very missleading and severely overpriced.
I feel robbed, I paid £45 thinking this was the "Large" Qpad and it ended up being the normal sized one. not happy, considering I could buy this same one at a much cheaper price.

Nice large pad
Slightly thicker than my previous mat, but fortunately still fairly rigid. Not much more to say at this point, it's just whether is stands the test of time.

Beware, does not work with all modern optical mice!
The QPAD CT used to be one of the most popular mouse pads among certain gaming circles. These days most people use simple black cloth pads like the QCK, but if you are looking for a pad which offers the least amount of friction while still providing the comfort of a cloth pad and minimal noise level, the CT is hard to beat.Eight years ago I used this pad together with the original Razer Deathadder (a laser mouse) and it worked flawlessly. So when I bought a new pad to use with my upgraded Deathadder Chroma (now using an optical sensor), it was very disappointing to find out that it doesn't track on the bright areas of the pad, making it essentially useless for its purpose. It may not affect you if you use a very high sensitivity and only use a small area of the pad, but then why buy a large pad to begin with... I feel like QPAD really dropped the ball here by not offering a simple black version of the pad. They do offer a variety of custom prints, but they are harder to get and may or may not work better than this one. All of them use multiple colours.Aside from this rather major flaw, the surface is brilliant as ever. Some claim that the QPAD has high amounts of static friction, creating almost a "sticky" feeling. I noticed this issue with my eight year old original Deathadder, but not with the newer mouse, which suggest that this isn't necessarily a property of the pad but something that can be fixed with fresh mouse feet.Another review mentioned the beige colour of the foam underneath the surface, and the lack of finishing on the edges. That's absolutely true (although the edges were very cleanly cut on my model), and this pad is not designed to last forever or to look like a designer's item on your desk. It is meant to be functional and comes with a reasonable price tag which makes it possible to replace it every few months when it will inevitably lose some its surface quality. A fresh pad also stinks quite noticeably.Despite those imperfections, I would wholeheartedly recommend this pad to anybody who is looking for a bit more speed than a standard cloth pad, without sacrificing comfort or control. Just be aware that if you are using an optical mouse, you may be asking for trouble. If QPAD ever offers a plain black version of this, it would get an automatic five star rating from me.Otherwise, there are a number of other hybrid pads which are likely to offer similar properties to the QPAD CT. Unfortunately most of them are either considerably more expensive, have other flaws, or not much is known about them yet. So for now, I will be going back to a standard black cloth pad.

Don't get a white one!
I bought this nearly 5 years when I built my first proper gaming computer. For some reason I decided to get a white one, and it looked pretty damn nice for 6 months - a year. However after many heavy gaming sessions the pad has become stained with dirt around where I move the mouse most frequently, and what I can only assume is sweat where my wrist rests. The pad still functions perfectly fine even after 5 years, but is rather unsightly. All attempts to clean it have failed, and I don't want to scrub too hard lest I take the smooth surface off.I would not hesitate buying another, but it would be a black one this time!

Lack of finish! Rough edges.
The surface is fine. The edges are a problem. The finishing of the edges is non-existent. Tiny fibres are sticking out all around the pad's edge which scrapes your skin when it comes in contact. Your skin can become irritated after hours due to the prolonged scratching. The edges feel and look rather horrible. This pad is basically a piece of rubber with smooth coating which has been cut out of a larger piece of this material with no finishing touches whatsoever.Unfortunately this is not shown in the picture, which seems to be “touched up” marketing material rather than an actual photo of the pad. I have uploaded a photo of the pad I received. Also, the body of the pad is beige colour rubber so the sides do not look black as in the picture but beige instead which doesn't look great if you buy the black version.Given the above issue I think it is expensive for what it is. I can live with it but I am not happily and at some point I will probably have to replace it with something more comfortable.Given the excellent reviews by others, this makes me wonder whether I may have received some sort of counterfeit or defective product.I will contact the seller and update this review...

Outstanding
I have owned this mouse mat for 2 years now.The mat has been fantastic when used for precision competitive gaming or for just browsing through the OS. It's not the biggest name brand but it is an excellent surface. It's easy to clean and very soft to lean on for long periods, the one issue I tend to have with the QPAD is that over time it will move slowly across my desk, easily fixed with some double sided tape however.Would recommend to anyone, just make sure you have space on your desk as its a fairly large pad!

Four Stars
Size of QPad CT is small compared to other XL mousepads, and not enough for low sens players.
