Does anyone know how to get this thing to open applications and do commands other than keystrokes? I can't figure it out. The software is horrendous.

You will probably want the keyboard to issue a unique macro sequence (for example ctl+shift+3 for example) and then associate that with an exe file. Otherwise you need the software to associate the button on the macro pad with a run command

Are there any plans to make a rechargeable wireless version of this product (for the non-gamer?) Can the colors of the keys be set individually?

Can you program the keys to be F13-F24, which are part of the hid spec?

F13-F24 are not listed within their key mapping software -- AMAKeyboardClient.
