What's the difference between Artistix original & Artistix Baseline? Artistix Baseline sheets are the same thickness as Graphtec Silhouette Cameo/Portrait sheets but thinner than the Original Artistix sheets you may have purchased previously. Baseline sheets have a higher tack than the Original Artistix sheets but this can be managed by de-tacking the sheet using a lint cloth, clean duster or similar cloth (Instructions provided). Baseline sheets are not really suitable for cutting delicate media I use both types of sheet to cut different projects. I prefer Original Artistix sheets when cutting delicate and intricate designs but for repetitive simple cutting and specifically cutting vinyl/plastics Baseline sheets have the advantage on price. The Original Artistix sheets will be kinder to your blade as the backer is thicker and more elastic but I've found the tack on the Baseline sheets last slightly longer when cutting vinyl. Original Artistix sheets are still the best value all round carrier sheet on the market and this is reflected in the competitive price compared to comparable carrier sheets. If price is of no concern opt for the Original Artistix sheets, which are easier to use, good value and can be used for all projects, but at £10.00 for 3 Baseline sheets it can be worth the extra effort and patience required if you're crafting on a budget. Both sheets are good for different types of project.
