'Features' don't actually function.
The backpack itself is decent. The only problem is that the 'travel ease' it claims is superfluous, as most airport checks require you to remove any electronics from the bag and scan them separately anyway--meaning the ability to open the bag is, itself, useless in a travel setting. This wouldn't be as large of a problem if the entire stability of the backpack wasn't compromised as a result of the design. The bag does not stand up on its own, often falling forward onto the front pockets. This means that if you want it to remain upright, you have to lean it against a vertical surface with the pockets most likely to contain any writing utensils or other 'easy access' goods against said surface. In short, it's decent enough--just annoying in use.

Only bag used by our travel team
I used this bag for over a year until the weight took its toll on my back (no fault of the pack!) In fact, our entire travel team uses this bag (thankfully it comes in different colors!)Very large, roomy pockets. TSA dividing zipper is a lifesaver for those airport lines! I had it in the plane, rental cars and all over the hospital without difficulty. Easy to clean and keep neat and tidy for professional purposes. The zippers were durable and we never experienced a break or snag. Comfortably held our 16 inch laptops and other gear (I always carried a back up outfit and a small blanket with me and still had space for essential work/office necessities). My pack weighed 30-35 pounds and was used almost daily without any problem for over one year. Great purchase for the money - it was difficult to replace when I had to go to a wheeled bag.

Great for work trips
I bought this bag for work, as I am a frequent traveler. The bag fits everything perfectly, without having too many compartments for things to get lost. The straps are comfortable to carry through the airport and it doesn't get too heavy. The ability to unzip the bag so my laptop goes through security with ease is much appreciated, as I no longer have to dig it out of my bag. The only issue I have, which stopped me from giving it 5 stars, was that one of the plastic connectors on the strap (the one that allows you to adjust the strap fit) had a small piece of plastic that stuck out. When taking off the backpack at the airport the small piece shredded the top of my hand. I had a very deep scratch that left me bleeding. I was able to get a nail file, and file it down (it was obviously a defect from where the plastic was molded together) and now it no longer has a sharp piece. Overall I would highly suggest this for anyone who travels for work.... but feel out those plastic parts and avoid the bloodshed.

This is the 1
My family lives in an area where we always carry a pack. I own many others from my Maxpedition, mystery ranch, and 5.11. This SWISSGEAR pack is my EDC. It's always ready to go weather it's on the side by side in the mountains or on a plane to visit family. The material has stood up in the dirt and brush. I can't say enough about this pack. As tough as it is it looks classy to take along to a restaurant.

Great motorcycle or travel backpack! Tons of storage!
Great construction backpack. I travel to South America and Europe with mine. I love having the TSA laptop zipper so I can just unzip and fold it in half, not making me take out my laptop. Works everywhere so far, except Panama. They still make me take my laptop out, oh well. Lots of space and pockets. I can easily fit a laptop, tablet, Bose Quiet Comfort 35 Headphones, Nintendo 3DS XL in a carrying case, all my chargers (about 10 different kinds including my laptop charger), a couple 1.5L bottles of soda and a pair of tennis shoes or high tops. It has side straps to cinch it down if you aren't loading it up. I ride with mine pretty packed most of the time since I use it primarily as a motorcycle backpack (always have clothes, shoes, and food in it). My last one lasted me about 8 years. Totally worth the investment!
