These magnets are very slim and you very powerful. When I received them I thought that they couldn't be very good because they came apart quite easily, and yet I soon discovered that was just because of the way they were packaged. In use they grip perfectly. I am using 3 of them on a single rail holding up two door fly screens above a 2m wide steel framed door. Not only have they held the rail in place without moving (and with one of the magnets not quite sitting flat) but have coped very well with strong winds. I have had to only give 4 stars because these magnets are quite fragile and can crack if knocked or allowed to snap to a surface from a distance. 2 were cracked in my delivery but the supplier changed them with no hesitation at all. Holds really well, I screwed theme to 10 mm dowel.To hold thin polycarb to side of miller to stop turnings from going all over.

Other reviews are accurate, as soon as you tighten a screw its going to break. I think the magnets are not entirely flush with the holder.But they still work broken or not and have a good strength for exactly what I wanted to do

Must admit.....these are great sized magnet's for there price. The magnetic force/pull of these magnet's are as they say and do the job for me. The only downside I came across was - #1 the scews weren't long enough & #2 if you screw them in too much the magnet does crack. So I had to use longer screws to fix the magnet's securely to the surfaces I needed them too without screwing them up too tight.Overall, they were just right for what I needed them for.

I bought 2 lots from different suppliers. 10kg and 20kg. These are 20Kg as when they get stuck together it's a devil of a job to separate them! They will hold a hammer - but that's when I found how fragile they are which is probably why they come in a protective wrap on one side. I only tested it and it immediately broke. The other set don't have a container but so far no breaks. 2 of them served their purpose but I wouldn't buy again.

Bonded a similar diameter steel washer to a pottery plaque then screwed one of these magnets to a roof beam in the summerhouse. Now it takes a bit of effort to take the plaque down. Great!!!
