Perfect for making unique calligraphy colours
I bought this as a gift for someone starting out learning calligraphy but who loves to be individual in colours . The report back was that it was great, she has been able to use it for raised lettering by making it thicker, and for mixing unique colours. The colours are gorgeous. I have also used Jacquard PearlEx before, but never in a calligraphy set. They are excellent quality so I was confident the set would be too. It was better than anticipated.

Extra charges!!!
The product itself is wonderful - a very fine powder leaving a lovely effect. However, I was slammed for VAT (£3.20) which was OK but then Royal Mail charged £8 as a handling fee too making the product very, very expensive. Be warned.I've bought from this company previously with no problems and not had additional charges to pay so maybe Customs have tightened up.

Craft cupboard must
Lovely colours in this set. I've been using Pearl Ex powders for years for beautiful metallic effects, a little definitely goes a long way. Great product that can be used with and on different mediums....from glues, and clear nail varnish to polishes, on paper, wood or fabric etc. An absolute must in my craft cupboard.

Brilliant. Does just what it says on the tin
Brilliant. Does just what it says on the tin, and more. Can be used dry with a brush, or mixed with paint, glue or size. Make up into a paint by mixing with water and gum Arabic, and use like watercolour. Can be brushed onto clear or coloured pigment stamping ink, or over other glue : can also be mixed with wax for encaustic work. Needs fixing if used dry onto paper.

Great
My son loved this. He added it to home made slime to get a pearly effect. Works really well. Very fast delivery and contained plenty of powder for lots of uses.

Fantastic metallics
Absolutely love this color. I'm artist and paint with metallic. Love the powders and mix with gloss polyurethane from Michaels. That way the powders won't rub off if you wanted to brush another layer off sealer over your work as I use powders and paint. So fun to paint with..not about white , but I start on black background and it just glows!

Lo estaba esperando
Es excelente, hay que practicar la manera de mezclar los pigmentos con la goma arábiga pero ya está todo incluido, solo agregar agua destilada y mezclar. buen acabado.

Not pink
I am not sure why the Amazon product description refers to “mink pink”. The colour is not remotely pink. The product label instead refers to the colour as “mink”. The actual colour is nearly black, with a copper tinge, which for me worked out well. I used it mixed with 30-minute epoxy to repair a black ceramic piece, the pigment helping to make the repair a bit less obvious. But if you want pink, this isn’t it.

Nice colors
The media could not be loaded. First time trying out Jacquard Pearl Ex set. Easy to mix. Doesn’t need precise measurements. It’s a 4:1:4 ration of pearl ex, gum Arabic, and water. Too thick won’t even come off nib, adjust water by drops with pipette until you get those nice fine hair lines. I can tell there are definitely colors that will be called upon more often than others. But this is a good sampler to see if you like it before investing in larger jars. As always it’s hard to show metallic or glitter with a camera, but hopefully the video gives you an idea of how they look. Very satisfied.
