BEST FOOD EVER
UPDATE: 6/28/2023Bought another 28 pound bag because KOKO just loves it and she is a thriving, healthy and happy girl. I did the same with vacuum sealing in six large vacuum seal bags I made, this not only keeps it fresh, but makes it very easy to store. I have 5 bags stacked on top of each other and out of the way, easily accessible when needed. Not the cheapest dog food around at $0.19/ounce or $3.07/pound, but most certainly worth it and it's really good food.I have never seen our sweet girl go so wild for any food, dog food or anything else. From the picture, you can see me vacuum sealing almost all 28 pounds of Blue Buffalo Wilderness food, just opened it when it was her supper time and added a little mixed in with her regular food and she loved it. She ate her supper and kept going back to her bowl looking for more. I was taking the rest of the bag and making large bags (from a roll) and vacuum sealing them to maintain freshness. As I was filling each bag, occasionally a piece fell out and she was right there, going after each piece as if it was the best treat she had ever had, over & over. I didn't drop any on purpose, but when you're loading up 7 large bags of about 26 pounds of kibble, a little will spill out and she was waiting for it to happen. Okay, it's dog food, but when it comes to KOKO (Husky mix) I'll do whatever is good for her unconditionally. We have enough to last quite a while, but when it runs out, you know I'll be ordering her some more, top quality food is worth it.

Good food with better ingredients
I usually give my little Chihuahua grain-free, because of his allergies, but I decided to give this a shot. He can be very picky so I'm never sure how he will react to a new food. He has had no issues with the grains and he does seem to like it. I like that the first ingredient is Chicken, high protein is important for my dog's. I also like seeing that the other ingredients are healthier grains and healthy fruits. While my total preference would be a smaller ingredient list, I'm happy to see that the ingredients in the largest amounts (the first 5) are mostly meat. I'm also glad deboned chicken comes before the chicken meal. The pieces are a bit larger than my boy likes, but not too big for him. I would definitely recommend this food.

good quality food
ok this may be gross but i think it is a big plus for a dog food. this food makes my little ones poop stink way less than other brands of food that i hav used in the past. they seem to love the flavor and there are never any stray bits of kibble left over. i like the ingredients that are used in this food as well. the kibble is small enough for my smaller dogs to eat but also the perfect size for my larger dog.

Quality food from a quality brand… & it even smells good!
My niece has sworn by Blue Buffalo for years, so I thought it was time to try it for my granddog & the current foster…My granddog will slowly transition to it & the foster will dive in since she’s had all sorts of junk food for months at the shelter - the sooner she gets on a quality diet, the better!1st of all, the 1st ingredient is deboned chicken. There ya go.And the protein level & sources are outstanding, especially for these adult dogs and their joint & bone health. Preventative diet is the way to go, so if I can feed them properly to minimize the chance of arthritis & other maladies as they age, it’s all good. There’s even some omegas & glucosamine, which I already supplement, so that’s a good thing, too.Yes - it’s pricey but it’s premium stuff & you get what you pay for.Our dogs are family & we eat quality food, so they should, too.**Thank you for reading this review & I hope that it’s Helpful!** 🐶🐶

Smells good to me!
I had to say it. Not that I would try it, but as soon as I opened this bag of Wilderness dry dog food I thought it smelled good - for a dog. Perhaps I haven’t noticed that dog food smelled before, but I’ve always bought real good food for my dogs. The Wilderness brand reminded me of the smell of stew and my dogs have definitely enjoyed it. My border collie, sassy mcgassy, didn’t seem to have her usual adjustment time to a new food. Definitely appreciated. The food is on the pricier side, but what pet doesn’t deserve the best?

Seems to be a quality pet food.
My dog readily ate this food and seemed to like it. Even after slowly introducing this food to him, it gave him terrible gas! So, we stopped feeding it to him. The stray cats do enjoy it though.

Blue Buffalo made a great food, just in the more expensive end
The first thing I noticed was the quality of the ingredient list. The first 10 ingredients are one that are identifiable and easy to pronounce. This food also doesn't have the few ingredients that people worry about the cardiomyopothy in the first 10 ingredients (peas and legumes). The kibble is smaller and easy to chew. However, the price of this bag is really high and I can't forsee myself buying this long term (even though it's high quality food). I'll mix it into the regular food until it's gone to use it. Blue Buffalo made a great food, just in the more expensive end.

Good Food is Not Cheap
The thing about this food is that it's made by a reputable brand and the first three ingredients are meat sources. My dog didn't even have to be transitioned to this new food before he just started gobbling away. Not only is my dog happy to eat this, I also feel good about feeding my dog this food knowing that the ingredients are high quality. As for the price, yes, it's pricey but I don't think it's too far off from other comparable brands. I do like ordering this from Amazon so I don't have to haul 28lbs home from the store!
