A Life (Cruise Trip) Saver
I had begun experiencing pain in my lower groin area and despite a CT Radiologist saying that there was no signs of my having a hernia, I knew what I felt and what was going on. The reviews for this relatively inexpensive belt were mostly positive so with only a few days before we flew to Athens Greece for a 2 week cruise I decided to give it a shot. Came overnight, as is perhaps the best thing about ordering anything from Amazon, and after some trial and error before getting on the plane, I was amazed how I was able to sit for nearly 10 hours in "coach" without much more than just some discomfort caused by the fact that in order to work correctly this belt needs to press firmly on the suspected area where your hernia is located. Overall, it didn't give me 100% relief 100% of the time, so I would say that correct placement is important, but without having this belt on the cruise I would have been laying in bed with ice for the entire trip. I would highly recommend that you try it.

It works
This is the second one of these things so far. I'm 38w and got it all the way in. So not for skinny. It's actually comfortable. But as the photo shows the elastic waist band rolls up. And the red stitching on the pad is me cutting it open and taking half the stuffing out so it's not like a brick in your pants. I can't get the strap for the pad to go around the leg. Won't stay there for even 5 steps. So just wear like a thong. It does keep the compression in place. And the photo is about a month of wear. Just ordered the same one. Still got 6-7 months till surgery. One a month I guess. Not a priority for surgeons.

Helpful stop-gap before hernia surgery
I have purchased 3 different designs of hernia belts for inguinal hernia, and this is the best of the 3. I like that the strap that goes between the legs is completely removable for washing and has a full range of positioning. Other positive features: the elastic belt that goes around the back is also completely removable, the pad is removable, you can match up all the hook & loop portions so none is left grabbing your clothes, and there it's easy to reposition over underwear since there's no grippy stuff on the inner side of the belt.As far as how well it works: it does the job adequately, as do the other designs, but it is not a permanent fix. And how well it works for you may depend on how severe your hernia is in the first place. For me, with this on, I can walk, run, play pickleball, exercise, & lift weights. However, I recommend you only use it while waiting to get a permanent surgical repair.

Too much cushion for the pushin
The overall material is soft and fitting, but the cushion it comes with is way too bulky and firm. It is removable, but that doesn’t help with the support my partner is looking for.

Just what I needed
This gave me the support that I needed before my surgery and after. Very easy to put on and not noticeable under clothing.

Makes the problem worse. How does that help?

Works.
Darn good, especially for the money. Don't know what would be better about the others.
