This fan is my new best friend!It's a little louder than a typical oscillating fan BUT nothing you can't easily ignore. Within a day I didn't even notice the noise anymoreI have yet to move it from the lowest setting as it works beautifully on low. You seriously can feel the air from across the roomI love it!

I used it during the hot weeks in summer and it was perfect. As its huge, a bit of noise is expected but frankly is less noisy than plastic or regular fans for this size of ventilator.Comfortable, has a carry handle and, contrary to the comments I read, you can tighten the sides to choose to where it points to. True, the motor gets warm after using (normal for an electric device) but nothing beyond the normal.

It sounds like a fan the low setting sound is like a normal fan noise and it is good the higher settings is louder as you expect and not really needed in a bedroom.I don't want to return it and have it go to some landfill site but a reimbursement of a percentage would be nice but I don't want the seller to be dinged as the shipping is amazon.
