Really great fun
We bought this for a family holiday, and it was great fun! We all dressed up for each character, which isn’t a requirement but really adds to it. The good thing is it is suitable for up to 14 players but it doesn’t matter if you don’t have 14 as the killer is picked totally at random. We played it with 10 people. It can be re-used. Great value for a great nights entertainment.

Lots of fun to be had!
We had the most fun for our parents 50th wedding anniversary! This murder mystery game provided a great opportunity to have fun and remain socially distanced all the same! We held it in the garden and had a plan to play on zoom if weather did not permit it.We used 8 characters (9 if you include one person who dressed up but did not read) and the great thing is you could play again and use different characters (or the same ones) and it’s a different murderer each time! The game materials were great additions, I downloaded the mp4’s of the evidence onto my phone from the website and we used a Bluetooth speaker to play it! The game comes with a CD as well but we found it easier to use the mp4.It is worth visiting the website to see additional information about your character for a bit of insight and to get you in the game mood! This is my 2nd one of these games and both have been very enjoyable!

Great reusable game
Great choice of themes/eras and love that could use more than once. Also flexible in terms of number of players.

Brilliant fun
I played this for the first time last week. It was fab, all the guests enjoyed it. We had 9 friends and one couldn't come last min but he game is designed that it doesn't need all the parts filled. So makes hosting easier. Games I have used before you had to fill all the parts otherwise it wouldn't work. This game can be used many times over. Highly recommend was a brilliant evening.

Great product
Have bought 2 of these now and used for them for a New years eve party - easy to use, flexible for numbers of characters and great that you can actually re-use them as there is no defined murderer. You draw names each time

Great Fun
We played this over Zoom, so I had to scan all of the character documents to send to everyone. Then I got someone else to allocate player numbers, so that the murderer was a secret to all of the players. It worked well and we had a great night. This is something that could be played again too, in person, once we are able. It was so good, we have now purchased another one 'Murder at the Pizzaria' to play.

Worked well over zoom
I bought this game because I thought it would work well as a social event during the lockdown/over zoom. It did! Also, the flexi-ness is GREAT! We had a player ask to join an hour before the party and it was no problem! This is how we did it:* Whilst we were waiting for it to come I asked colleagues who wanted to participate. We were 8 players + 1 who wanted to watch but not really play, who we made the narrator who read the evidence. The players were 5 women, 3 men, but one woman wanted to play Houdunni.* I (host) received the game and chose my character. Then I started a whatsapp conversation and linked to the costume instructions and everyone else chose a character and we agreed an evening.* A few nights before the party I scanned the scripts into PDF, for the characters we used (but photos would have worked). Each character script is only 3 pages in A5. There are also questions to ask (questions menu) and I scanned that in. I emailed everyone their script and the questions.* About an hour before the party my husband (who was not playing) randomly assigned evyerone a number and texted them their number (and for the murderer, texted them confirming they were the murderer).* We all joined a zoom call and using the ... in the corner of our screens we temporarily changed our screen names to our character names. We also used gallery view (one of the 2 view options you can toggle on and off).* For each act the narrator read the evidence and then chose 1 person to ask the first question (player A). Player A chose someone to ask (Player B), we all heard the answers -- so fun when some people used unexpected accents! -- and then Player B picked someone to ask. We could refill drinks, etc. in the breaks between acts. The only thing I would have changed is I might have read the evidence through and suggested we pick from those characters. Because the evidence mentions characters we were not using, I crossed those out before sending them to the narrator. The whole game took us about an hour, which was a good amount of time on zoom. 9 on screen also worked really well. Only one person guessed the correct murderer!

Fun and Easy for all! Worth buying :)
I've been to and hosted a few murder mysteries and here's what stands out to me about this one:PROS:+Super easy to set up and play. I was the only one in the group who had done or been to a murder mystery before and it still went super smoothly and easily. No one had trouble figuring out what to do or say and we all had a great time.+The number of guests isn't set, you can have up to 14 guests but don't need to have 14 (I did it with 12). This is great because it's usually pretty hard to find the right amount of guys and girls (and sometimes we even have a guy play a girl character).+The murderer is randomly decided at the party, so the host doesn't even know and can't accidentally find out.+The characters are all really fun and have punny names, we had a blast dressing up and looked like a very eccentric all together! It was also very easy to remember who was who because the costumes and names are really obvious for each other.+You can technically play it again and again because each character has 2 scrips for if they're murderer or not, but I still remember a few of the details about some of the characters so if you do play it again with the same group you'll be listening for who has a different script instead of incongruencies. I do plan on doing this one again though, but with a different group and I won't be contributing to guesses or comments about the murderer.+The website was very helpful with having the costume suggestions and character descriptions up, so I could just text guests the link and they got to prepare. They also have a cool playlist on Spotify that I played in the background to set the mood, and they have the audio recordings for the different acts which was very helpful.+Works great for a range of ages. Lots of murder mysterirs have affairs and scandals which sometimes make it awkward, but this one kept things appropriate for I'd say ages 13 and up. The actress is an adult actress (this isn't a spoiler, it's in her introduction) so she's really the only scandalous character that you can not include if you want to keep the game super appropriate.CONS:-Even with 12 guests it ran long, we ate dinner first then did the murder mystery because we had to split up in a few seating areas for our large at my house for our large group, but going through all 12 people sharing their scripts and answering questions got a little dull about 8 people in.-The clues in between the 3 acts assume all the characters are in play so it shares snippets about them, so if you're using less characters then there's a sentence here or there that doesn't mean anything (which wasn't a big deal, but a minor detail.)OVERALL:We loved this murder mystery, I would buy it again and will host this again for a different and smaller group.

really clear to follow instructions , great support from manufacturers
character information and script was excellent . This is really good if one guest has to let you down on the day as it doesn't stop the game . Extra materials available if some get lost by guests . I adapted this to an online game with just a bit of effort and it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone ! The manufacturer support was excellent .

Great game to play online with COVID-19
This game was fun! Easy to understand how to play. We played with 9 ppl and it worked out well. It worked with not all the characters playing. We played this using Facebook Messenger instead of in person & with FB messenger it didn't have a time limit. We delivered an envelope with the characters booklets and the whodunit cards (without looking slipping them into the envelope). The question pamphlet is the same as what is on the back of the character booklets. It went smoothly. Started at 6pm waited for everyone to join 6:20 (we had tech difficulties) . Act 2 started at 7pm - 7:20pm w/ questions and audio (downloaded the audio onto our phone to play) 7:20- 7:50pm Act 3 and final statements. Everyone did their own thing for dinner. If you played in person I would assume it would take longer to play. They say each person ads 15 minutes to the ending time. Great thing about this game is that you can reuse it.

Read the character bio!
I bought this for my teenage daughters birthday party. We did a dinner party with friends and relatives and it was a blast! We decorated a table in red and gold, had place settings and everything. The instructions were relatively easy, the cd that came with it was very entertaining and we even played the playlist off of Spotify for the background music. The only negative I have to say is that if you don't give your players the response cards ahead of time it was very difficult for them to get into character. Some of the characters have accents and different speech patterns that were hard to decipher. I definately recommend giving these out ahead of time because we some of the clues get lost if the cards are not read properly. Other than that it was so much fun- even had teenage boys playing that were very good sports and got into it as well.

Had a blast!
A group of friends and I (7 people total) did this murder mystery tonight virtually, and it was so much fun! I wasn't sure how the whole "pick the murderer on the day of" thing would work, but it was brilliant. We did a murder mystery party last year but had to do it virtually this year due to the COVID crisis, and I can confirm that this is still loads of fun over Zoom/video meeting service. Everyone dressed as their characters, most of us had accents, and everyone was great about doing ad libs to add some extra fun. Some key points:-The questions are quite structured, and everyone has the same universal list of questions for all the characters, which makes it easy to know when to move to the next act.-It's AWESOME that you can reuse this set over and over again. Since you only pick the murderer on the day of the event, you could even mix this up and give the same group different characters and have a different game!-The kit comes with a CD, but there is also a web site where you can just download the evidence audio files and ply them on your device.-If you are doing this virtually and you are the host, I would recommend sending out the character descriptions and slips with the character numbers to your guests in advance. I sent mine in the snail mail so everyone didn't have to be starting at a screen trying to read info while they were also looking into the camera, since we were virtual. This was really fun, and I'm sure I will use it again soon!
