Because of the price I was a little skeptical about purchasing this playset - you get what you pay for. But this set surprised me. Twelve different dino figures with a playmat and accessories make for hours of fun! Would make a great gift for the little dino in your life!

I’ve loved dinosaurs ever since I was a little kid. I recently began replaying an old video game favorite called “Carnivores” in which you hunt (and get hunted by!) dinosaurs. I saw this fun little playset and the big kid in me put it in my shopping cart before I even realized it! I now have dinosaurs sprinkled around my home office to remind me of a childhood love that’s survived the decades.This is a great little set for anyone of any age interested in dinosaurs, with very nicely molded and realistically painted dinos. What I think makes this collection superior to many other similar sets is that the dinosaurs are realistically painted and don’t look like toys. This set also includes a playmat, habitat “squares” you can attach vegetation to and make your own diorama, a little mountain, palm trees and other decorative vegetation, and a nice little dinosaur identification and fact sheet. The 12 dinosaur figures are actually bigger than I expected, certainly several notches up from “toy soldier” size. Most of the popular species are included such as the ever popular T-Rex, Velociraptor, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Brachiosaurus, and others. I highly recommend this quality set. The only reason to buy something different would be if you feel your child would like the more colorful but less realistic dinosaurs in some other sets such as the Jugana brand lunchbox set (see comparison photos).TIP: If a dinosaur won’t stand upright, its legs probably got bent during shipping. Place the dinosaur in a bowl of very hot water for several minutes and then bend the legs back into a stable standing position. (Kids, get your parents to help you with this.)

When you have to get something for that kid you just don't know....box of dinosaurs!The kids had fun with the little playmat pieces and tromping the dinos around.The 6yo was enthralled immediately with the box, plenty colorful and busy and therefore giftable overall.The dino information sheet is alright.Watching the kids play with it, it reminds me of all the black and white dinosaur movies from the 50s, so I had a giggle myself while they were incorrectly eating carnivores with herbivores. KIDS!Figures are ok for the price point, its disposable overall, but the plants are something I haven't seen much in other kits.

I played with these with 4yr olds. They loved them! There’s a good variety of dinosaurs and I liked that this set came with plants, and a surface for them to “walk” on, which has the added benefit of fitting together like a puzzle for added challenge and fun. I like that you can attach a lot of the plants to the bumpy terrain puzzle. We used these at a table with the puzzle and the plants and dinosaurs so we didn’t really use the mat. I also didn’t want to use the mat because it’s made to look like a Dino park or circus, which is not what I wanted. I like the more natural elements of the set, which make it more historically accurate and not confusing for teaching kids about dinosaurs.

The best dinosaurs and trees in this type of playground, I have seen. The mat could use some work. Thank you for the work you put in.

Nice little set for imaginative play. My child will try to emulate what he sees on Dino Dana with them. He has a little sand container he likes to put the trees in as landscaping and habitat for the dinos.

My son was so surprised and happy when he opened this for Christmas. I came with dinos and little trees that he could place on the mat wherever he wanted to. Everything you see is what is included. He loves dinos and the educational booklet was a big plus to help him learn more. Great present.
