Rusted in less than a week, but sturdy
Used these to hold down bird netting around a baby fig tree.I’d mistakenly expected stainless steel, but they’re just steel — completely rusted after only one week in the ground. I just pulled them out after harvesting the last of the two figs that the critters left me before I put the bird net up, and took the attached photos after scrubbing with soap. They’re thick/sturdy and long enough to hold a bird net down securely, but might not be the best to use in edible gardens (unless you want the rust seeping into your fruits and veggies through the soil).

These are ok staples for mature yards areas. Great for fresh soil.
They bend easily, rocks, sprinkler lines, and tree roots, it's straightening time. The worst part is that you can get similar staples (size and length) at your local Home Depot. Where you get 30 for 3.98 or 75 for 9.98 instead of 3x10 packs for 9.81. They will likely bend just as easily. Tenpenny galvanized nails and fender washers with nail-size holes, never bent, but if you drive it into a sprinkler line you will have a leak. I ended up going through 60 when I estimated using less than 30, which includes straightening the ones that bend. The best place I found for this type of product is ACE Hardware. Their product is stronger with a square top and you get 20 for 3.99. Great for new and mature yards.

Rusted immediately
I put these in my liner in the ground to get an idea of where I wanted my garden. After building the garden, I took the staples out to reposition the liner (the next day) and every single one had rusted. It didn't even rain that night or anything. There's no way they'll last long if they rusted in less than 24 hours.

Disappointed! Not as pictured and not strong ...
Very disappointed, I gave one star only because there is no selection for "0" stars. The staples I received were not as shown in the picture but were more rounded on top. I have used the type shown in the picture many times without any problems. But these rounded ones are weaker and the majority of them flattened out the top instead of going into the soil.

Great Product
This is a great price and great product! I used it to hold down landscaping cloth in my garden pathways. I used a hammer and it went in the ground easy. It stays in place well and none have come up or moved. The only negative is I noticed some rusted on top, but it is outside in the rain so I expect any brand would.

Rust Immediately
These bend easily while I hammered them in with a rubber mallet. Also, a couple days went by before I put in my mulch and all these staples had started to rust. I doubt they’ll hold up long.

Easy unless rocky soil
These are easy to hammer in, unless your soil is rocky. As they are fairly flimsy, any rocks mean the clip is easily bent out of shape. I learned to guide them into place with an extra finger or two keeping the legs from bowing out. More than a couple of the clips are bent over to get flat.

Already showing signs of rust
I bought these 1 month ago and they are already showing signs of rust. These are pretty much single use staples.UPDATE: 9.13.2018. These pretty much rusted completely. I bought them in April for my garden. It is September and I could not reuse a single of them. They are use and throw out. It produced a lot of rust and stained everything.
