Good unit, metal housing,I used XLR connectors and did get a higher output on the lights so I turned down the sensitivity a bit, RCA connections will work fine too.THE camera would not pick up the true color of the LED's but the color is a real green, like GO green💚Keep in mind this is only light show, no eq level adjustments

AWESOME EYE CANDY FOR YOUR STUDIO!🎵
The media could not be loaded. It’s a great light for your studio rack! I first bought the white version but decided to get the blue one and I’m glad I did. So if you are getting 2 the back has a xlr output to chain another with a xlr cable. It’s pricey but they sure look great! I got them for my radio station and people love it as it has that old school look and my station is a throwback station so they give it some o.g. Flava! They are also very accurate with music and you can adjust the sensitivity with the sound and brightness of leds. I just love being in the studio now and looking at the eye candy! Get some!!- Dj james

Nice display
had to get 2 units. after setting up and using. I detected a ever so slight bleed over of channels and that is printed in the instructions so I got a 2nd unit and now have left n right channels and a cleaner sound. Note Most people will not notice the bleed over unless you go to look for it. Nice unit looks great

Very cheap made analyzer for the asking price
Simple analog spectrum analyzer from China. Nothing special about it when figuring the asking price. Colors look kinda cheesy compared to today's colored led displays. Not worth the high price tag.

The XLR I/O feature does not work.
Only works on RCA I/O. I didn't want to go through the inconvenience of returning this item. This item is completely overpriced for lacking a key technical feature (XLR connectivity).

Fast, bright
I'm using this in my home music studio. The display is very responsive; many spectrum displays are a bit slow, so this is really nice. The dimmer control provides a good range. I did not require full brightness to be satisfied. There's a minor front panel labeling quirk; the dimmer control should dim as it is rotated clockwise. That's what would make it a dimmer. Instead, it increases brightness as it is turned clockwise. So it's actually a brightness control, not a dimmer. While a bit surprising at first, this in no way affects usability. The sensitivity control falls a bit short. At max, you can have audio going in that is perfectly listenable, with no indication on the display. At maximum sensitivity and a reasonable display excursion height, room filling levels are in play when the unit is used in a pass-thru mode.I'm driving the unit's XLR inputs with a secondary, adjustable gain source (a Behringer DS2800) and not using its outputs, so I can get past that issue easily; but if you're using it in a pass-thru mode where its outputs then are routed to your amplifiers, it's possible you might find the sensitivity range unsatisfactory. The unit consumes one standard rack space (1U) and uses a standard modular 3-prong (grounded) AC cord.Overall, a little pricey, but very informative and nice to have in the rack. For my use case, it's perfect.

Mesmerizing.
Excellent spectrum analyzer. Accurate. Great as a display for the sound system to just see the bars move as a light show. Don't know how effective it is in a professional capacity but simply as a light show it is great!
