Q: I have an application where I need a ⅝" bearing attached to a 1 ½" sq. tube. Can these bearings withstand tac welding without destroying the seal?

Not a good idea. You will cook the grease and the seal. -unless you are talking about a REALLY TINY tac with a wire welder. Maybe you could get away with that. Even then, you might be better off using a non-precision bearing , -the type that is encased in a sheet-metal sleeve (look for ASF-107-5) Don't know what you are doing but you could also investigate bonding bearings in with a filler-type Loctite or JB Weld

Q: what's max tolerance of ID 5/8" flanged bearing, will it fit 5/8" shaft?

Dear, the bearing is suitable for 5/8 shaft, the inner diameter tolerance is ±0.02MM, you can try it. If it is not suitable, you can contact me for free return. XiKe bearing customer service.

Used them in several diff. Mowers. All they are, are replacement bearings. They fit anything.

Q: I need a flanged bearing 3/4"id x 1.0"od for an mtd 46" mower. is such a bearing available or should i stick with the original plastic bushing?

It sounds like there is not enough space for a ball bearing. 3/4 i.d. x 1" o.d. maybe a bear shop . Good luck
