I have thin ear lobes and I like button earrings but they tend to droop on me. So, I use oversized backs to correct this problem. I purchased these mostly for the all metal backs-- I've got dozens of the plastic one and don't use them so much any more. The all metal backs are pretty but look and feel just a little bit cheap. Even so, they do the job. Many of them felt loose and needed to have the round springy parts gently pinched with pliers to hold my earring posts securely enough to suit me. I'm willing to do this considering the price. I'm not sure how the plating will hold up but I've had that concern with versions of these I've used so far.

These backings work really good to keep that droopy Ear look when wearing posts… (especially for us older people who have had our earrings pierced for a long time) There are other ones that are more sturdy but are also more expensive so these ones work OK but it just depends upon what your desire is.

They do the trick. Sometimes it's difficult to get the earring post to slide between the grips. I'm working on tightening them myself. They are definitely worth the buy.
