Great for Classroom Use
We use these as a classroom management tool, and our students love them. We like the variety in the pieces, and the students love choosing which pieces to add to our Potato Head.

Classic!
It’s Christmas season 2021 and I have a 20 month old daughter. I’m late-night browsing Amazon and come across a family of potato heads. At first I think “probably too many pieces” but then ultimately decided that everything else I bought for Christmas also has a thousand pieces, why stop now. Plus… handy butt compartments for storage. So I purchase it anyway.Upon opening, I decide that I enjoy the box the toy comes in, it’s sturdy and has a handle. But it’s not my decorative style so I immediately decide to transfer the toys to a woven unicorn basket that has just been waiting to be of use. Promptly move potato family to the closet for 2 weeks until toy rotation time. They finally get their day to shine. I slide my unicorn basket full of our little spud family onto my daughter’s shelf and wait patiently for my precious little baby beast to awaken and spot it.The beast has awakened. Immediately notices the toy. she picks it up. It’s potato o’clock I say. She responds by immediately turning in the opposite direction and playing with something else.I play it cool. “Pick the potato heads” I chant to myself over and over as she continues to neglect them.It takes her two days. She finally examines a potato head on one fateful Tuesday morning. She picks up an arm and tries to stick it into a hole it doesn’t belong in (the head)… it doesn’t go without a fight, but she gets it. Before I know it, she has created a whole potato monster with minimal help from me. She’s into it. She loves her potato head family. She won’t even eat potatoes and now I know it’s because she thinks of them as friends. I don’t eat friends either.Tldr; potato family is great and functional. It can be a little difficult to push the pieces into holes. The glasses don’t stay on their faces (or I can’t figure out the trick). Butt pockets are extremely frustrating if you have small children (would take foreverrrrr to clean up) but all in all it’s a great toy. Happy to bring a modified classic into my house for a new generation to enjoy.

Super difficult
This is a great deal, but it is nearly impossible for my kid (or even my wife) to put it together and take it apart. The pieces fit so tight that I will spend a few minutes taking out one nose to replace it with another (because kids are oddly specific). Besides that, the setup is great. Make your own family, and give them different styles and accessories. Just don't expect this to be a simple and easy thing for younger kids. They will likely get frustrated easily by not being able to do it themselves.

We love the whole potato family. It adds to the dynamic and involves several people in play. They are so cute and you can have endless fun!

Sunday school lesson
I teach Sunday school at my church and this is perfect for explaining my lesson (1 Corinthians 12:12) on this verse. The kids easily understand and apply it to their lives. The nice thing is that they remember the lesson every time they see the movie “Toy Story”.
