Extremely Helpful
I took over teaching a senior adult Sunday school class and asked what they'd like to study. Someone suggested "Women of the Bible." This book has brief Biblical character sketches of both men and women from the Bible, so it has helped me with material to build my lessons around each week. I got Dr. Weirsbe's Old and New Testament Commentaries too, for further insights.

We need to know better about the biblical figures. Very good resource.
Very good description of many biblical characters. Even having some interpretative differences in some cases, this is a very good book that let us be better acquainted with those biblical figures and motivate us to study even more to understand their role in the divine purposes.

This is what I like. If we don't apply what we learn
Warren Wiersbe has a way with words. While I've studied the Bible for years, he takes each character and brings out the strengths and weaknesses of their lives. Then, he applies it to us. This is what I like. If we don't apply what we learn, then we haven't learned anything.

He is a great teacher.
This book, "Life Sentences" by Warren W. Wiersbe, gives me more insight on the person that I'm studying about. I have commentaries written by Warren W. Wiersbe. He is a great teacher.

This is a wonderful book with good insights into the people of the Bible. Really makes you think about your own walk with Christ. This book is equally good for the new believer and the more seasoned Christ-followers like myself. Warren Wiersbe is always good!

Warren Wiersbe opens up the Word in an insightful manner which leaves you hungering and thirsting more for the true words of life. He relates practical life principles by sharing clear insights into biblical passages by using many resources in a captivating manner. I would highly recommend this book as a wonderful introduction or overview of Bible characters.
