Should not be used with USB-C Hubs or for 4K HDMI
Tested with an Anker 8-in-1 PowerExpand USB-C Hub. Most functionality worked without issue. All ports functioned and power was passed through. I was required to flip the connection to get USB-2.0 connectivity on one port but once this was corrected everything seemed to be working. If you do not use this for 4k HDMI or you do not mind signal drops from time to time, this is a great way to reposition a USB-C hub. Then, I noticed that the HDMI signal was dropping intermittently. This is disappointing, but not at all surprising. The company even warns that using this extension cable for 4K HDMI is not recommended and that video will be unstable:"Video transmission will be unstable due to video signal attenuation from the connector. We don't recommend connecting the usb-c extension cable with a usb-c to 4K HDMI cable." — ConmdexBecause of this, I have issued a rating of 4 out of 5 stars as the cable could not address my needs adequately and a warning regarding HDMI was not more visible. I would recommend Conmdex to update the listing with a visual warning about 4k HDMI and other limitations.

Excellent Extension!
Recently, I ran into a bit of a dilemma with my studio setup where I ran out of slots on my main USB hub. I thought about buying a bigger hub, but I also had additional USB-C hubs laying around that I could use. The main problem was that the cord was too short on all my USB-C hubs. So, I started to look for USB-C extension cords and came across this one by Conmdex. I love the fact that it has an angled connector to my computer because that will be super helpful for me when I place the laptop in its final destination. The pricing was really good, too, so I thought I’d give it a shot.Once I got the package in, I opened it up to be happily surprised with the excellent build quality. The connectors are made of metal, and the cable itself is thick and braided to prevent damage or unnecessary tangling. I hooked my devices up to my USB-C hub and then the extension cord to my 2019 MacBook Pro. Everything works like a charm! I have three devices hooked up to my USB-C hub, which is connected to the extension: my Electra1 Midi Controller, my Modius audio DAC, and my external backup drive. I tested all devices and they work perfectly with this extension cable.Functionally the cable performs perfectly, aesthetically it looks really nice (I love the gray + black color scheme), and it’s got a strong build quality. What else could you ask for right? It is a great bang for the buck, and I highly recommend it. 5 stars from me!

Passes 100W thru to 16” MBP!
This is just what I needed! My setup is 16” MacBook, and using an Aukey hub with attached usb-c cable, and when I’m setup at my kitchen counter with a MOFT Z stand for my laptop, the hub’s cable is too short & it would dangle down from the raised laptop.Using this usb c extension, it’s perfect for extending the hub: for 100W PD power, HDMI and usb jump drives. The instructions do tell u to flip the female receptacle end if usb peripherals don’t work at first (common thing with usb c extension cables), which is really no big deal / just FYI.Overall, I’m real glad it still passes thru power up to the 100W to my Mac, and file transfers are as fast as my hub will allow (10Gbps) as per by quick file transfer test to jump drive.

Great extension cable
This extension cable is great. If you are looking for a USB-C extension cable, this is the one you want. The box comes with some packaging, documentation, a Velcro strap for keeping the cable bundled nicely, and the cable itself.Physically, the braided cable is sturdy yet still flexible. Both the straight and right-angle connectors have strong rubber boots which I am confident will keep the insulation from breaking near the connectors. I like the dark silver color of the connectors and cable since it matches with anything. The right-angle connector is brilliant. Before this cable, with my laptop or phone charging on my lap, the device would accidentally slide to the side and torque the delicate USB-C cable upwards or downwards. Now, with this right-angle connector, any pressure from the side just reinforces the connector in the slot, without bending and potentially damaging it.Performance-wise, this cable successfully did the following:• Charged my Dell Latitude laptop using its native 65W charger• Charged my Android Ulefone• Transferred files from a USB 3.2 Gen 2 solid state driveHowever, with the added length of this cable, the transfer speed of my USB 3.2 SSD had decreased. This is likely no fault of this specific cable, rather, with more copper and more resistance between devices, slower speed always occurs. The original transfer speed WITHOUT this extension cable can be seen in the first photo, and the transfer speed WITH this extension cable can be seen in the second photo. You'll notice how the transfer speed was bottlenecked around 160 MB/s, while it went faster without the extension in the first photo. In the packaging, there was a card saying that if this cable is used in conjunction with a USB 2.0 cable, you might have to flip one of the connectors. This is due to the nature of non-reversible USB connectors, like USB-A, USB-B, Micro USB-B, etc. However, you only need to consider this if you are using TWO non-reversible USB adapters, one on each side of the cable. This is pretty unlikely, making this mostly a moot point.

Sturdy yet refined
Ordering cables and adapters seems like a game of chance anymore when it comes to quality. I needed a good USB-C extension that can stand up to a lot of use, and I'm impressed so far by the sturdiness and apparent quality of this cable. Everything feels solid on this cable and the fit/finish is as good. Having the 90-deg fitting was a bonus already, and it was great to discover there is a little extra standoff room that allows some power cord wrangling (photo) and remains neat and in place. Would buy again; will see how it functions over more time.
