Box Plant Caterpillar Spray
We have four box plants, Two at the end of the garden have already been partially ravaged by the caterpillars and two smaller globe ones near the house which at present seem untouched. I sprayed them first before moving on the the two pyramids. This proved more difficult than anticipated when the sprayer broke off from the bottle cap which thereafter entailed holding the two parts together and spraying at the same time to complete the job. I have a bug spray which is nearly empty so will decant the remainder of the box caterpillar stuff into that so I can respray more easily in future.I managed to snuff out a caterpillar which appeared by hand but apparently they usually do their eating at night.I also think it's going to rain so I just hope it doesn't wash the the poison away before it decimates the caterpillar population infesting my box!I consider £12.99 expensive and clearly unless i am hamfisted the connection between the spray and bottle cap is clearly a weakness hence the three stars.

Total Rubbish - Don't bother
I don't normally write reviews..... but had to this time as I was compelled to tell you what a complete useless product. This Box caterpillar killer just didn't work , I used a whole bottle of spray but nothing ... The catterpillars seem to love it , like nectar to a bee.Invest in a more expensive product that works or you end up loosing the hedge like mine .

Think it has worked, certainly helped.
We spotted that there was a problem with our box hedge. After reviewing the products online, we gave this a try. Not easy to apply, but worth the effort. Not sure how long we need to keep applying it. Followed the suggested every 3 days and it seems to be working. No more caterpillars, but unsure how long it will take to recover.

Not what I expected
Didn't work as expected in my case. I thought you would spray the solution on to the caterpillars and they'll die. In fact, you have to spray it onto the soil around the plant, not directly onto the plant. In my case the plant was already compromised, so I only wanted to get rid of the insects. So I spayed it both on the plant and on the soil. After a few days, not a single caterpillar had died. I ended up removing the plant with the insects still living on it, I binned it, then they spread everywhere around the bin. Eventually I collected most of them manually and drowned them.A few weeks later, the insects on the parts of my hedge that couldn't fit in the bin started to die, although might have been from starvation, as there was nothing left on the plant.
