Worth it if you get the raw data as well
I paid ₹5k extra for raw data and it was worth it. It is compatible with all major sites. You can use various free admixture calculators on sites like GEDmatch, GenoPlot etc. to find out your haplogroups, health & nutrition profile and more. But, MapMyGenome really needs to up their game in providing better ancestry reports.

I would appreciate Mapmygenome for bringing this kind of product to India at quite affordable prices. The sample collection kit is quite good and had all instructions on it. It's simple, quick and easy. I received my report in less time than what they committed. I came to know my ancestral roots across India. The report is simple to read. I was super excited after I received the report. The team had helped a lot to make it much easier to decide on. Their WhatsApp support is super fast. I definitely recommend to take this to know your ancestral roots.

I'm intrigued by the results. Genomepatri heritage has shown me that my ancestry is from various places like Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Telangana while I'm born and bought up in Bihar. Also, My genetic report shows some genetic predisposition in Singapore, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka, Its fascinating to see my report.

The low level of granularity
Pros:You will know your ancestor's migration path.Cons:1. Ask for much private information in a form that does not require for this test.2. Pickup was not hassle-free. But it happened after 4 days.3. The report is copyrighted. So you can't share with your friends or family. May this be the reason no sample report is posted here.

I was amazed to know my ancestry lineage. However I think Genomepatri Heritage would be a great choice for anyone of Indian descent because it is supposed to be able to differentiate among India’s many ethnicities more precisely than other companies. Interesting product though.
