I have been using these fly sticks for years. I have a vacation home and I put them in the windowsills behind the shutters. Every time I come back they are super-full of bugs of all different sizes. I feel like it stops many insects from staying inside and reproducing! We have a problem with gnats and it seems especially good for that, but there are always a lot of flies stuck to it. I can’t imagine why it isn’t working for some people maybe it works better horizontally than hanging.

I am overall disappointed with how these sticks perform. I have an infestation of gnats and though these sticks have great sticking power, they barely attract the bugs. This is the first time I have used sticks that were other than bright yellow in color. The yellow sticks began catching gnats almost immediately and they filled quickly with the pests needing to be changed in just a week or two. These sticks have been out for three weeks and have caught less in that time than the yellow sticks did in under a week. These work, but not very well. Go for the bright yellow sticks for far better results.

Does the job . Attacks fruit flys as well as gnats.

I put the product up in bug area and it does not attract bugs. You would be better off putting up a piece of duct tape.PS I purchased (i do not recall the name) a product that looks life a small roll of film. You pull on the ring and it unwinds in and you pin it up. It is unrolled about 18in. I put one side by side to the product above and it works great. Outstanding results on these "pillars" as an alternative to the tape that always gets stuck to itself...well worth the money!
