Perfect for indoor golf swing practice!
(Husband's review). Living in an urban condo in the city, I have no opportunity to practice my golf swing other than driving to the range. However, we have a very large living area with 15 foot ceilings and oriental carpets, so I would occasionally take my wedge and practice some full swings on the carpet. Knowing this was obviously not good for the carpet, I looked for a turf mat and found this one. I was a little concerned about the small size, but when I thought logically that my golf club only bottoms out in a very small (few square inches) area I thought it could work. Upon receipt, I was very pleased with the quality - the bottom is a thick foam rubber and the turf on top is very thick, equivalent to any range mat. You will not wear this one out any time soon. I have no need for the tee, but when I want to practice some golf swings I put it on the floor (on the carpet, so it won't slide) in a location where I can take a full swing with confidence I won't do any damage to our furniture or other valuables. It works perfectly and, while I'm not actually hitting a ball I can at least work on my swing mechanics and try things that I can take to the range for further practice. If you have the golf bug and don't have a yard to practice in, this is the answer. Highly recommend.

Worth the money!
I’m no pro, I’m working on keeping the ball straight. So I bought this with a pack of whiffle balls the other day. Honestly, it came folded so I had to flatten it over night, which sucked because I was excited.I was finally able to practice today, but I can’t use a driver in my front lawn, so I just worked my irons on it. The front of it came kind of ripped up, but it’s still very thick and sturdy. After about 2 hours of use, it still had turf and is in no worse for ware than it was when I got it. It does slide on you if you even touch it with your swing, but that was kind of fun when I hit the mat and it did the table cloth on the table trick! So far so good. Will update if any problems arise.

Held up for a few hours, then started tearing up because I hit the edge with my irons.
This was great at first. I was hitting on concrete and it didn't move much unless I hit it fat. Then I moved to a carpeted room and it moved a lot. I also hit several very fat shots catching the edge of the mat and tore it up. The edge of the nylon hitting surface separated from the rubber and curled up causing me to hit the damaged turf and worsening the damage. I think it's my fault but if you are having trouble with ball contact you may need a bigger hitting mat. It also doesn't seem to work well with my Skytrak.

Good product/Flatten before using
Works perfectly fine for hitting my clubs into my net off the tee. I bought some extra tees as well but the one provided is enough to get you started. If you are looking for different types of ball lies and hitting directly off the mat this may not be for you. It tends to move a few inches when hit but is easy enough to just slide back with your foot. Decenth product for the price just make sure you put something heavy on it for a day or so before you use it to flatten it out from being folded for shipping.
