Bulbs are very good. The app is terrible. Don't seem as bright as claimed.
Pros:Bright, adjustable brightness and colorWide angle flood light patternConnects to WiFi quicklyResponds quickly to commands, and all bulbs operate togetherReasonably easy to set upWill retain the last programmed setting at power offCons:Don’t seem even close to brightness ratings claimedThe Smart Life app to set up and control bulbs is total garbage and doesn’t perform most claimed functionsLight quality doesn’t seem greatThe bulbs themselves are very good with some light range and light quality issues, but overall work well. The majority of issues I’ve had and the major complaints are with the app. The app simply doesn’t do what is claimed and is really garbage.I installed these OHLUX BR30 smart bulbs in my kitchen that has 4 overhead recessed light. These replaced existing LED lights when 1 of the 4 started to fail. I wanted to install them all as a group of 4 bulbs. That was not possible with the Smart Life app, but can be grouped with Google Home and Alexa. To start the installation, I first downloaded and installed the Smart Life app in iOS following the QR code that came with bulbs and set up an account. I then removed all existing bulbs and replaced them all with 4 OHLUX bulbs. These are all connected to a single switch. When first powered on after time for them to boot some bulbs slow flashed and some flashed fast. After about half a dozen times of turning them off and toggling the power switch 3 times, I finally got all 4 bulbs to flash fast. I was able to connect the bulbs, and all 4 bulbs were set up as A60-WIFIx where x is the number of the bulb. An initial attempt used number 1, so no matter what I did the bulbs start at 2 through 5 rather than 1 to 4. OK. Note that you MUST assign the bulb to a group when adding it. This is why I had the initial attempt. I added all 4 bulbs to the “Kitchen” room. When selecting bulbs there is only an option to search for WiFi or BT bulbs, not color or white only. To reiterate, the only opportunity I could find to add the bulbs to a room was at initial set up. You can’t set up the bulbs and then add them to groups as with other apps.At this point in the app you can now turn each bulb individually on/off in the app. That’s it. No, grouping even though they are all in the kitchen. There is no brightness control, no color control, and no ganged operation. None of the features shown on the Amazon site for the bulbs are available.I was able to add the bulbs as a group to both Alexa and Google Home. I can control both brightness and color from either Alexa or Google Home. I can select various shades of white or colors from Google Home, but Google home doesn’t offer the continuous range of white color temperature or colors as the app for Feit smartbulbs I have on another room. Essentially, I’ve only used the Smart Life app to initially set up the bulbs and connect them to both Alexa and Google home. It’s worthless for anything else. The listing for the bulbs claims they are 1000 Lumen, 100W equivalent. The box itself shows the bulbs as 900 Lumens. They get bright, but really don’t seem even 900 Lumens bright. They seem really much closer to 650 ~ 750 Lumens. A major reason I went with these over other brands was the 1000 Lumen claim. The quality of the light is OK, just seems a bit strange. They don’t specify a Color Rendering Index (CRI) for these bulbs and I’m guessing this is why. No matter what color temperature I set them at, as limited by the settings in Google Home, the light just doesn’t seem quite right. I’ve had them in a few weeks now, and I’m getting used to them, and they aren’t terrible so I will keep them. The range of brightness is from 1 to 100 percent. However even at 1% they are still relatively bright. The kitchen is next to the family room, and if we want to use these as a TV light it is still fairly bright. Yes, 1% is considerably dimmer than 100%, but not really dim. This is with a white that is fairly neutral that is likely around 3500K. If I select “chocolate” from the Google home menu I can get it dimmer.Where these bulbs do better than the Feit bulbs I referenced above is with control. I have 4 Feit A19 bulbs grouped together in a ceiling fan. When I change the settings on the Feit bulbs they almost never respond all at one time with some slower to respond than others, and occasionally one or more bulbs doesn’t change at all. These OHLUX bulbs have none of those problems. All the bulbs work in near perfect unison either from Google Home or Alexa. They all change together and reliably. The OHLUX bulbs also retain their setting when powered off. If the bulbs are set to a neutral white and 100% brightness when turned off, they turn back on the same. As long as they are set like this when turned off, they can be used as conventional bulbs with the room wall switch as well. The bulbs themselves likely rate about 4 stars, with some demerits for claiming 1000 Lumens when even the box shows 900, and seem quite a bit lower than 900, and for the quality of the light. The app rates 1 start. It simply doesn’t perform the features claimed. I will weight the bulbs over the app and give an overall rating of 3. If they can fix the Smart Life app and fix the problems, without having to reinstall and re-link to Google Home and Alexa then I’ll bump up to 4 stars.

Overall good- slightly glitchy.
Solid four stars. They can be a bit finicky to set up, and there’s a delay when you first turn them on. The app works 95% of the time. Overall I’m happy with them.

Definitely a decent value so far..
First off, I already have other SmartLife-controlled products, so I didn't have to go through setting that up or learning how all of that worked.I bought 4 of these open-box, just to see if they'd be suitable for replacing the incandescent floodlights I have in my kitchen (8, recessed lights). I was particularly concerned because the light switch in the kitchen is motion-controlled, and I didn't know how these would handle losing power constantly. So, first-off, setup is a little weird, because the pairing process (I think intended to be convenient) doesn't seem to take into account that you might be wanting to do MORE THAN ONE BULB CONNECTED TO THE SAME SWITCH!! The process involves turning the switch off-and-on three times quickly, then the bulb blinks rapidly, in pairing mode. Of course, any bulbs that are connected to that switch and setup already will ALSO go into pairing mode. That might be simple enough if you could setup a bunch of bulbs in the app at once, but it only handles on at a time. I wound up leaving the switch on, and then rapidly screwing-and-unscrewing the bulb just enough to turn it on and off, by itself.[For my second set of four bulbs, my solution was to use a separate conventional lamp (removed the shade and everything) and then pair them on at-a-time (and number them, so I know which I was putting where). ALSO: never had an issue connecting with my wifi network that has 2.4 and 5Ghz on the same SSID-- for some reason, some stupid 2.4-only devices choke on this.]So, first off, whatever setting the bulb has STAYS in the bulb-- so, when the switch is turned off, the bulbs don't forget their color, brightness, WIFI info, etc. Also, when the power first comes on, it may take a few seconds or so before they reconnect to WIFI (i.e., if you try to give them a command immediately like color or brightness, they may not get it-- annoying if, say, 7/8 bulbs turn red, and the last one stays white. Just issue the command again.)Secondly, in terms of brightness, these are easily as bright as the incandescents they replaced (80w?), AND (the reason I kept using incandescents) when you turn the color temperature down, the color is almost a perfect match for the warmth. The LEDs that are inside (at least, if they're similar to other LED kits) have the expected RGB set, so you can make all kinds of colors, but ALSO have two white LEDs, one being conventional cool LED colored, and the other being a warm white (WW) LED. So, between the RGB set and the W set, you can make all temperatures of white light, AND pretty much any color that RGB LEDs can make too (don't expect a full-spectrum of Pantone matches, but fine for most purposes). Also, the lights turn on almost as quickly as an incandescent, so the switch has been zero problem.I don't love the SmartLife software. It's actually very nicely designed and works pretty well within itself, but considering how you would integrate with other systems (the way you'd make groups or scenes, for example) is pretty annoying, and it doesn't do anything too fancy out-of-the-box (like programming animations between lights or something).Still, compared to bigger-named/more-expensive products, I'd say these compare very, very favorably.

Fantastic value smart bulbs
Fantastic product. When the bulbs arrived they needed resetting to be able to set them up on the app. If the lights just turn on and are not flashing you need to turn the light switch off and then back on 3 times not too quick so they start flashing. You can now set them up on the app. I personally use the TuyaSmart app as it is very reliable and have been using this app for years for my other smart devices with no problem. Excellent value smart bulbs.

COMPLETE CRAP!!!! Buy ANY other bulbs, JUST NOT THESE ONES!!!!
Literally not worth the materials they're made from, they simply do NOT work!! I've had about 3-4 other brands before, and yes, they're ALL a pain in the arse to set up, but these ones were INSANE, and after 2 hours (on a work night) of trying, I never did get them working! The app is absolute garbage, useless. WAY too many "bells and whistles," all for nothing! To top it off, good old Amazon (as usual) sent me USED bulbs, when I paid for new (AGAIN!!!). Box was open, and obvious it was a return, as the paperwork inside was scrunched in and crumpled, and the seal on the box was opened. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!
