Unit hard to use
I have a lot of super8 movies I wanted to convert to digital. I bought this item with the expectation of doing this. The first night I used it I found it frustrating to correctly load and operate. The unit is for 8mm and super8 movies. It only comes with an 8mm take up reel. It has no reverse function. To put film back on the original reel, both reels must be reversed into the machine. I could not get the machine menu to change the procedures from the oriental language to English. I had to use guesswork. Amazon has approved my return of this item.

Didn't work.
Returned product. Halfway through first reel, stopped working. Original error message was something about tape alignment about a minute into copying. After several retrys with no better results, it started giving error message "Connect to power source " which if it wasn't connected to a power source, it wouldn't be able to display the error message in the first place.

Product Fails Quickly
The scanner produces a fine result when operating as designed, however after doing only two 5" reels over the course of two days the machine began to clunk! A quick google search revealed that it is a known issue with this device. Caveat emptor

Is it also a sound transfer?
Does this digitizer transfer sound as well as pictures? I have many sound Super 8 movies to transfer.

Same thing happened to me first night after running for 5 minutes it started making clunking noise and kept prompting connect power source surprisingly how could it prompt this error on screen if power was not connected lol. Thank you Amazon it’s coming back. At least this thing keeps AMZL delivery people employed🤬
