Protexid - 40 Capsules

I have reflux as well as a small hiatal hernia and I do take OTC Prilosec. I am just finishing up my first bottle of Protexid. I can say that there has definitely been a benefit. Even with the Prilosec I would have to take Pepcid every night, especially if I made the mistake of eating something that caused issues too soon before bedtime - chocolate, alcohol, etc. But with the Protexid I have not taken a single Pepcid for the past 3 weeks. I will probably gradually cut back on the Prilosec. I'm not necessarily expecting to be able to get off it completely but if even a smaller dose, that would be great.

I'm on my second bottle and am starting to feel a little better . Time will tell.

This item is not as good as advertised. I read the research paper the product is based on and the statistics looked decent but I am not one of the people this product worked a miracle on. I am back to the old acid blockers. This product is worth a try but after one bottle if you feel no improvement do not waste your money on another one.

My Doctor diagnosed me with Silent Reflux, which causes all kinds of nasal and throat issues. His recommendation was to mega dose on prescription strength proton pump inhibitors, like Prilosec or Nexium. Both destructive to the digestive system. I've already got problems with that system, I don't want more. So a N.D. recommended trying this natural GERD remedy, which I will give a try for Thirty days. I've given it 4 stars before trying, simply because everything I've read about it sounds so much better than the alternatives. I'll write back to give my feedback on my particular issue. I must also say that I traditionally don't have any overt issues with heartburn or reflux, and the diagnoses of S.R. is still uncertain because the symptoms are subtle and I've lived with them for 30 years.

I was looking for something new and natural because Prilosec just stopped working one day... the reflux was back with a vengeance. I found Protexid on line, read the research and could not wait to give it a try! Within days of starting it, I could hardly believe the improvement... my reflux was gone and my heartburn was relieved. I would not be with out it!

I bought this product because of acid-reflex. But I soon found out it also alleviated my bloating (due to garlic). I'm very satisfied with this product and how amazing t's worked for me. I've got no reflux and I can eat garlic now with no problem. Definitely recommend!!!

I tried two rounds of this to help me get off of PPI's. If anything, they made me feel worse. I noticed no improvement. After nearly 3 months, I finally gave in and am back on the prescription drug. :(
