Torchbearer Sauces Best-Sellers 3 Pack Mini Hot Sauce Gift Set, 1.7 Oz each - Zombie Apocalypse, Garlic Reaper, Son of Zombie

This is an excellent sampler pack of some really hot sauce! For those reviews saying that these containers are too small must have been planning a 30-person dinner party. This sampler size is perfect to get a very good idea of the flavors of these sauces.My personal favorite is the garlic reaper. The garlic flavor really shines through and makes this not only a really hot sauce, but also very flavorful. The zombie apocalypse is the next hottest, with a consistency very similar to the garlic reaper. First thing that comes to mind is ketchup regarding the consistency.. The son of zombie apocalypse is a little thinner in consistency, and also less heated. These are all my own personal opinions of course, your mileage may vary.I tried all three of these on some Chinese food. The flavors of the sauces go well with Asian cuisine. I will most likely be purchasing a larger bottle of the garlic reaper sauce once this one runs out. But, because of the small amount required for intense heat and flavor, this sampler may end up lasting me a month or so.

I wasn't paying attention and thought these were much bigger bottles.In reality, they're plastic bottles about the size of my thumb (I have large thumbs though).But the sauces are amazing. Torchbearer sauces aren't made with extract, they're just mashed peppers and seasoning.And they're not filled with vinegar for preservation, so they actually taste good and don't clash with or overpower your food.(but you do need to refrigerate them)And most people don't really notice this, but different peppers have different heat profiles. Some hit right up front, some are delayed, some have a slow burn, some are fast and brief, etc.The Torchbearer crew know that, and mix peppers to balance the heat profile of their sauces.In my opinion, 90% of hot sauces are almost inedibly bad. They're just vinegar and capsaicin extracts.Not only are Torchbearer sauces in the top 10% of sauces, for my money they're the 1%.Fantastic stuff.

Got these a few months ago as a gift to my hubby- yes they are small but that was expected! We both really ended up enjoying these so much we will be getting the full sized ones very soon! All 3 are unique and super tasty- just make sure you enjoy some kick in your hot sauces ;)

I knew when buying them that they were small, and it’s true that they are. However, I still think this is a good way to taste test a variety of quality sauces before purchasing a larger bottle. Personally, I like the son of zombie the most and will buy a jar of it once it runs out. It has a nice sweet front, which dissolves with a spicy finish. It’s not overwhelmingly spicy, and has good taste to it. The regular zombie is undoubtedly hot, and I made the mistake of eating too much on my first try. It’s not so hot that it’s inedible however, and it does have good flavor to it that’s not just vinegar. It’s very nice in small quantities. The garlic reaper is my least favorite, which is surprising because I love garlic. Its flavor profile is too simple to me. It just tastes like garlic and heat with little else going on. I might mix it in with another sauce otherwise I don’t think I’ll actually eat it. Overall, I had a good time trying these hot sauces and I might buy another as a gift for a friend. Just be mindful that these are mini bottles, about the length of your finger and about as wide as a hot dog.

Honestly, some of the best tasting high heat hot sauce our there AND no extract. The Son of Zombie has more heat than most people's daily driver hot sauce, but it's very mellow IMHO. The bottles are small, but if you thought you were getting three high level hot sauces for under $20, that's on you. Great for sampling before you buy a full bottle.

Flavors are fantastic, however for almost $20 I should have paid wayyyy closet attention to the sizes I was buying. I was very disappointed to see how little the bottles were. The bottoms are all pushed out too so none of them stand up straight. I think these will be great, albeit expensive, editions to my lunch box. All of them taste great, I just will purchase the bigger bottles next time.

These three sauces run a great gambit of flavor and heat. The garlic reaper is the hottest of the three, but still flavorful enough for average use. The son of a zombie was my favorite as it had a nice sweetness underneath the chipotle heat. The backend burn on all three was excellent.The zombie apocalypse brought heat and I would say it is definitely a mid-range heat for the average consumer with a bit less heat then the garlic reaper.Overall I would recommend as the flavor and heat are well balanced. I will definitely keep torch bearer on my reorder list.

$3.35 per ounce! Yeah. Wish they had larger bottles.The sauces taste good but WOW! next time I'll search for larger bottles.These are totally different from Bravado sauces or Puckerbutt and if you like hot sauces, you should definitely try these. But buy the larger bottles.
