Low profile adapter allows you to use your own headphones on airlines.I previously had one of the square boxy adapters which was alright when attached to the jacks in the front of an armrest. However, the 777 that I do most of my travel on has the jack on the side of the armrest meaning it sticks out towards your leg. When getting back into my seat it was easy to brush downwards on the adapter, resulting in bent pins.Not so with this little beauty. It only sticks out about half the distance of the boxy adapters, is tough, and allows me to use my own headphones (Bose QC20 in my case) to drown out ambient noise and listen to my selected entertainment. Ah, bliss.Also, it would probably work if for some reason you wanted to combine two audio inputs into one pair of headphones - can't think of an application like that for myself but thought I'd mention it.

I got this adapter for my very long flights with an airline that I know uses two mono plugs instead of a single stereo jack.They connected great and didn’t have any issues with maintaining there hold.A permanent addition to my travel headphones case.

Bought this specifically to fit in United/Lufthansa headphone outlets and it doesn't, jacks are the wrong size. Advertised as air travel adapter but doesn't work on a plane!

I have tried multiple connectors to connect to my speakers from my TV and my blue tooth adapter. This one works great! Saves so much time from switching them out. Now I can workout and enjoy videos and music loudly!

The split cables are a bit short, but I use this to breakout the control voltage outputs on my Elektron Analog Four to sequence my Eurorack synthesizers.

I bought this when the speakers on my "mini system" died, so I can connect computer speakers (one plug) to the mini system (two holes, since it came with separate left & right speakers). Works perfectly!

Works perfectly for aircraft that have the dual mono connection. Used my personal headphones for a much better movie watching experience.

Worked good at first, as I had speakers hooked to two computers I needed to hear out of both simultaneously from. Worked perfectly. After a few days, I guess it started registering with some other field of energy occuring behind my computers, and started giving a slight electric buzz sound into the speakers rather than the perfect silence/clarity it started out with. Wriggling the wires around did not help. Could not debug.
