Pio Peep! Traditional Spanish Nursery Rhymes Book and CD: Bilingual English-Spanish

This from my favorite book growing up and I live that now I can read the same book to my kids

This product was missing the CD. Unfortunately I didn't notice until after the return window closed and was unable to exchange it.

I love this book! I speak Spanish with my daughter but am not a native speaker. For this reason, I don’t really know too many songs. With this, we read the book, listen to the songs and I know about 10 songs by heart. Like someone said, there are only 8 songs on the cd but the rest I look up or ask my husband’s family. If there is a melt down in the car, I turn on the CD (or the one from the book “el Loro Tico Tango”) and she is instantly calm. I don’t use it in English because it seems weird but it is our favorite book and she sings the songs to me.

Mi hija adora este libro tengo que leerlo varias veces por semana. Tuve que comprar otro para la escuela de mi hija para que puedan escuchar y leer lo que le gusta a mi hija. Recuerdo mucho esta rimas. Soy niñera y tengo otro en mi trabajo porque a los niños les encanta cuando les canto las canciones. Es hermos recordar😊

This was book was originally going to be a gift. But then my mom started to read it, and because of the old spanish nursery rhymes, it brought back memories for her. She wanted to keep this book and the CD. lol

I specifically bought this version of the book so that we could listen to the poems in Spanish on the CD. I was very disappointed to find that very few of the poems are on the CD. Otherwise I like the book. The CD is easy to listen to.

Amazing book!! My husband reads/sings it to our baby EVERY day!!! It comes with a CD that has many of the songs which was very helpful!

I was hoping this would be a way for us to learn some Spanish nursery rhymes but have been disappointed. For a start, only about 1/2 of the rhymes are on the CD and there is no music for the other half, so it's impossible to learn them. The half that are on the CD are randomly dispersed through the book so my son can't follow along in the book as he can't read yet - I have to look each time to find the next rhyme. Then the other half of the CD is devoted to slightly strange English translations of the same rhymes - I have no idea why it was thought to be a good idea to include these, I can see the point of having them in the book but it would have been far better just to include all the Spanish rhymes in the original. If anyone know of a better book please suggest it!

I already had my own copy and bought another for my pregnant Spanish teacher - she absolutely loved it, and I have enjoyed it immensely myself. The translations are creative and beautifully written.I should say, though, that I haven't used the CD and can't give any feedback on this.

I was hoping for something to share with my son but it’s such an awkward size and the pages are super thin it was ripped in a blink of an eye. I’ve been scared to bring it out ever since. Some of the poems are great but others are just odd. Wish it had been more accessible for my son.

Great compilation of nursery rhymes in both Spanish and English. I like that there is a version in both languages so we can read them together and undertsand them better.
