Produced from Mediterranean waters along the balmy coast of Cyprus, the sparkling pyramid-shaped crystals of Cyprus Flake sea salt look strikingly delicate but are surprisingly robust. Despite their large size, the flakes dissolve evenly in sauces and soups. You can also crumble them between your fingers when seasoning any dish or keep the hefty pyramids whole for a unique finishing flourish. A favorite for its flavor while cooking and baking, Cyprus Flake is a great addition to roasted chicken with rosemary and basil, baked tilapia with lemon and garlic and even fresh brownies.

it’s a tiny bag of ok salt
The ad makes it appear you get a large bag ofSalt. The picture is a guy holding the salt on his hand to his chest and it appear to be a large bag and a thus a fair amount of salt, but what you get is a tiny bag of ok salt and it feels like you’ve been duped.

Taste like regular salt.
The salt is more for looks than flavor hence the word "artisan", but it isn't bad. It is covered in charcoal, so immediately wash your hands or wear disposable gloves. We used it on a salad with watermelon radish, cucumbers, and microgreens with lemon vinaigrette. Picture to show how it looked when we used it.

Love this salt for my kalua pork
It subtle but it’s perfect for my kalua pork! I’ve been craving this since we came back from Hawaii and to my delight, I have found a pretty similar tasting recipe for it and I don’t have to dig a pit and cook the pig for hours! Lol not like I have a place or time to do that anyway. If you guys are interested, here’s the recipe:Pork butt or shoulderLiquid smokeRed salt (from Hawaii)WaterShredded cabbagePlace everything except the cabbage in the slow cooker and cook on high for 8 hours or in instant pot for 90 mins. Turn it off and mix in the cabbage. It’s that simple! Yummm!

The size is deceiving
I am so sad 😞 I thought the bag was bigger. I use salt in my baths for therapy. This bag is only 2.5 OZ 😭

Great for decorating
I got this product to decorate cupcakes. Yes, decorate. I made chocolate cupcakes with a caramel filling and a brown sugar buttercream. To offset the sweetness and stay within the color scheme, I used this salt for the salted caramel flavor and to have it stand out on the buttercream. Needless to say, it was a hit. People couldn't believe that it was salt at first, and the crystals had just enough salt flavor to make a nice contrast to the sweetness of the caramel. One thing of note: use a spoon with this salt. The charcoal will rub off and you will wonder why your fingertips are black.

Very unique if you've never tried.
Adds so much flavor to beef, (that's all I've tried it on so far)! I can't wait to experiment with it. Very garlicky, earthy. But beware; Keep it in the zip lock bag it comes in. I put it in a shaker & my whole home reaks of truffles! But, it's so good, it's worth it.
