Sturdy, heavy, not cheap.
Very good quality for the price, made of solid metal, not flimsy or cheap. The only issue in had with it, is on the pictures here the bottom pieces look a bit brass like but in actuality is more of a dampened gold color. Still looks fantastic, and elegant. I was just wanting a more brassy color to it. I would recommend this ligature if you are a beginner/intermediate level. Will also like to point out this fit my Yamaha 4C mouth piece perfect. It also come with it's own can like case made out of aluminum and foam padding inside to keep it nice and scratch free.

Good ligature!
I tried this ligature with a variety of hard rubber alto saxophone mouthpieces (Selmer s80 c*, Vandoren Jumbo Java a45, Meyer 5, Bilger, and even a vintage Conn Standard Steelay). First, I tried it with the pins on top, then I tried it with the pins on the bottom. For me, it worked best with the pins on the bottom, but it was ok with the pins on top as well. It was an improvement over a generic metal stock ligature across the board. This ligature provided good response and the core of the tone felt well focused. Altissimo notes spoke well as did notes in the lower register. Not only is it a good performer, it looks very nice as well, highly recommended!

Great Ligature - Great Price
The overall quality is very good. The machining of the screw threads were a little sharp but are of good quality. My item came threaded incorrectly but I reversed the screw easily. FYI this ligature is designed to have the weighted bars on the bottom and not on the top like the other "Rov Style" ligatures. With the bars on the bottom you get both the push and pull affect of the design where the bars give a push against the bottom of the reed to the table and you get the pull from the the bands from the top. Over all machining and build quality - A

This Ligature Made My Alto Sax Sing!
I'm using a Yamaha Custom Rubber mouthpiece. I was using a leather ligature. High and low notes were good with the leather lig. But this lig made the horn blow easier and the low notes are more full. The high and altissimo are easier. At this price I'm gonna buy another.

Fits my Yamaha 4C nicely
Ive just received it and slapped it on my mouthpiece. It fits and thats all that matters. Its nice and heavy, and it feels pretty sturdy. Its also quite skylish and different from the standard gold 2 screw lig or a rovner, which is exactly what i wanted.Ill update my review if anything changes (ie: it breaks or something) but so far it has met my expectations so it gets 5 stars
