Official Sony PlayStation 4 Bluetooth Wireless Mini Keyboard Gadget by Numskull – Wireless Bluetooth Chat Pad with Voice Chat Speaker for PS4 DualShock 4 Controllers

Ordered the Numskull keypad for the PS4, it arrived in 2 days. It didn't seem like it was going to fit (the 3.5 plug was angled) but with a little "tetris" maneuvering it fit just fine. Keys are a little small but still, very usable and I love it. I've used it with DC Universe and it works well. It plugs into the speaker jack, so sound will come from the controller, I use a headset so it doesn't bother me. Bluetooth connection was easy, just remember to hit the return key after you enter the sync number. I have medium to large hands and the new configuration is very comfortable for me, it appears to be built well, I guess time will tell on that point. I recommend this keypad. Oh..... and it's an approved product by Sony for the PS4.

Only 4 stars because it has its own charging port and charges separately from the controller. But in saying that if it did run off the controller battery it would shorten its life. Other than that it’s a good purchase.

The item was two weeks late and it didnt work.

this is common issue. I tried couple bluetooth ps4 keyboard, and ending up threw away.when you type a key, it will repeat again and again. non stop.even official ps4 numskull have same issue.

Really enjoy this. Fits perfect, works great, and holds a decent charge. Purchased to write better descriptions in my sims game so mission accomplished.

For it being an official sony part. In partnership with Numbskull. Ot really isnt that well made!Cons:When i press a button it sometimes adds more letters than i require. Like oooouutWhen you press a button you can feel the whole pad sink in. So it not very receptive of yoir touch with no real feed back as yoi would with a keyboardAt first it was a struggle to fit into the space but after forcefully lifting the 3.5mm jack for the headphone, I eventually got it in place. But alas I dont actually connect it no more. As it is Bluetooth, so i just pick it up and type when neededThere is a terrible delay between the Bluetooth. When it is sat idle for 10-20 mins. You want type something real quick in chat "watch out enemy approaching" by the time its came back to life and you've typed what you wanted "wwaaatch ooooooout tttthe Enemy appproooching"You and your team mates are already dead!As an official product of Sony, it really should have a cheap LED light up inside. There really isn't any excuse not to have a 3p LED light. When the room is 20% darkened. Or you hit a dark scene in a game. You really cant see what yiur ttping especially colons and semi-colons and characters. Its impossible. I think thats one thing that is very upsetting. Id pay an extra £5 if it had that feature fitted!Pro:Its small, compact and can sit inside of your controller. (Although i prefer to jave it by my side) I like the portability of it.In conclusion, I would just buy a Bluetooth keyboard for less. As it would do the same thing. Probably better! Even a wired keyboard by USB.But i didnt want to be tied down with wires or a cumbersome keyboard. For me it does what i want. I can quickly (when Bluetooth attached) send message in guildchat (FC - FF14) instead of letter searching on the virtual keyboard on screen

Feels more bulkier than the PS3 version which went over the top of the controller as opposed to between the handles. (Obviously, this isn’t possible with the PS4 controller, as it would obstruct the touch pad.)I wouldn’t recommend this to friends to buy, because of the added bulk and weight to the controller. It’s also very fiddly to clip into the controllers connection ports.On the plus side, it stops you having to have a wireless keyboard laying around. It also has a connection point which allows you to connect your headset.Update: definitely not worth the money. The bulk and the fact that the keys hardly register when pushed means it’s is an absolute chore to use. Avoid this, and ignore my comment about about wireless keyboards - get one of those instead and save yourself the disappointment of this monstrosity.

If only I could give a no starOk so the simple fact of this review is don’t buy this keyboardIt’s doesn’t work with any apps like Netflix or amazon or sky go for typing which is kinda why I bought it to make it easier for me in the first placeMy Mac keyboard which is a pain to pair but does work on all apps and not “officially” licensed by PlayStation or numskull works betterSo I’m gunna stick with thatAlso it feels cheaply made for a “official licensed” product the jack feels it’s gunna break off because of the awkward angle to plug in onAnd the speaker sounds like they got it out of a children’s walkie talkie from 1995Just not a good experience all round which is such a shameDefinitely getting a refund

The media could not be loaded.  This was a Christmas present for my daughter and I'm not impressed, it does not attach properly to the controller. When the controler is being used in game the keyboard moves which makes the headphones crackle or the keyboard just falls off completely. It's not a one off either because my daughter plays with her cousin online and she got the same keyboard which has the same exact problem. Sent it back boxing day

Not a great item for an official product.The device doesn't connect easily, and when its attached it needs to be constantly pushed up for the in built speaker to kick in.The speaker is terrible with horrible distorted scratch noise so I prefer to leave it 3/4 attached to the controller to stop the speaker generating sound.Keypad itself is ok and does the job for online chat and search, although not keen on the placement of the backspace button being so close to the enter button.
