Conversion went just as planned. Was able to remove failed ballast and re-wire without in just minutes. Ran into problems with bulbs when trying to install. Though adequate to the task of holding bulb and contacts in place, the plastic end caps are extremely thin, and although there was no apparent damage to shipping carton, in fact six tubes in a package of twelve were damaged on same end. Plastic end caps were broken and contacts pushed in, pins no longer secured, and impossible to install tube into lampholder. Carton is exactly same length as bulbs, so even with supplied foam padding on each end, the contact pins are in hard contact with the carton and therefore any mishandling in shipment or warehousing can result in damage. Could be rectified with a box two inches longer and a strip of cardboard on each end to support the tubes themselves and not the end of the contact pins. Good news is that Amazon promptly shipped replacement carton which arrived fully intact.Bulbs seem fine in use, great output and better diffusion than other LED replacements I have used. Photo above shows two identical fixtures in simultaneous operation. LH fixture has these new tubes installed, RH has drop-in replacements from earlier conversion. Stopping camera down to see through the glare, note shadow between tubes on right, much better diffusion from the new ones on left. Glass tubes are a nice touch and will not cloud over time as the plastic ones may. Second picture is back to normal camera aperture, see how much more light is being produced from new tubes.Though a bit more trouble than "drop-in" replacements, output, rated longevity, and energy consumption are better and requires no reliance on health of the old ballast. Negligible effort, really. Remove the ballast, hook all the wires from one end of the fixture to power supply (black), and all the wires from the other end to neutral (white). No need to replace lampholders--I was able even to reuse the original wire nuts. Longevity is still unknown but rated for same number of hours as other brands I've seen that carry a lifetime warranty. Of course everyonel knows that all LED's are not created equal, but given the price seemed worth the gamble to me. Hopefully we will all be pleased with the results. Know that these are made in CHINA, though!

These are bright and install with no issues once you make sure the fixture has the ballast removed. The only thing I would make a note of is that (as others have mentioned) the end caps on these tube lights can be damaged of the packaging is to tight. HOWEVER, I'm still giving 5 stars because the seller deserves credit for their quick response; I had my broken tubes replaced fairly quickly, and they even sent a few spares!

Great lighting. It takes about 15 minutes per fixture to bypass the ballast. Well worth the price so far, being I have only had them installed for a couple days. Bad thing is I had 2 broken builds out of 36, but that is expected being glass. Now I need to figure out how to return 2 of the bulbs.
