You don't need to spend a lot of money to get a replacement typewriter ribbon!I have a slight obsession with picking up secondhand typewriters at car boot sales and they ways need a new ribbon.Lots of typewriters will take the same ribbon but there can be subtle differences in the fitting (normally the size of the spindles the holes need to fit over).I bought this particular one for a Brother Deluxe 220 - it wasn't listed as a compatible model but I used the photos as a guide (in my experience if the pattern of the holes matches the original then it will probably fit) and it fits perfectly.Some ribbons are a combination of black and red, but this one is pure black so as long a you're happy with that then it's a good buy.

Not absolutely sure, yet ,about quantity of ink in reels, as machine still in process of “unsticking” ! But trials have at least shown that they work . Thanks.

The type writer ribbon arrived but on using it was totally dry. I am expecting a refund in due course.
